Casa Verde in Scituate is an absolute must-try. I had the birria tacos and they were unreal so flavorful, perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best I’ve had. I also ordered the Batida, and honestly… it might be the best drink I’ve ever had. Smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced.

I also had the coconut cake and it was next level. I know the dessert menu is constantly changing, but if you ever see this on the menu, you have to get it. We were so blown away by the cake that we asked about it and found out they have an in-house pastry chef, which completely makes sense given how incredible it was.

I was also so happy to see that they recently brought on Chef Frank from Rivershed knowing Frank is in the kitchen, I can always count on the food quality being a 10/10. The service was stellar from start to finish, and the vibe of the restaurant matches the food perfectly: fun, welcoming, and energetic without being overwhelming. Everything about this place is on point. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I’ve tried this place twice now and have mixed feelings. Vibes and service are great. However the food was a bit disappointing. We got the paella and the menu clearly states it includes tiger shrimp…these were definitely not tiger shrimp, just regular little guys. On top of that, all the seafood was incredibly over cooked and chewy. I typically don’t send food back, but had to with this one. Our server was so nice about it and didn’t make us feel bad about sending it back. We ended up getting the birria tacos instead and they were pretty good. Overall, I would give this place another try but stay away from the seafood.

I was excited to get back to Casa Verde as I had not been there in months! However, that excitement came to an abrupt end when I looked at the menu. The restaurant advertises itself as serving Latin infused food, something that is hard to come by these days especially on the South Shore; yet the food they serve is far from being Latin American. Instead I think their food can best categorized as Tex-Mex, and the Tex-Mex food they serve is average at best.

Their previous menu was fantastic! It was bold, different, and most importantly delicious. Apparently, A couple weeks ago a complete overhaul of the menu was done to cater towards the slower months of winter, which requires less ingredients and preparation than the previous one making it easier for the staff. While I do recognize that menu changes are needed for slower months, completely changing almost every food item and making a menu that serves bland burritos, tacos, ceviches, and enchiladas is disheartening. There’s countless Tex-Mex restaurants on the South Shore, and I don’t think Casa Verde’s food is good enough to compete with any of them.

I understand their still renovating their menu for winter months, but in my opinion, the restaurant needs to resort back to their older menu (one on website) as it what made the restaurant special. People gravitated towards this place because they served food you could find no where else. Now, I’m afraid that customers, including myself, will turn to other, more affordable alternatives to quench their Tex-Mex needs.

I just returned from a family birthday dinner at Casa Verde.
It was an excellent overall experience! The restaurant is beautiful with striking murals, wood tones, and accent lighting.
An exotic oasis in Scituate Harbor!
Our server was well versed on the menu & offered excellent food/wine suggestions. Her timing , expertise and friendliness were perfect!
We ordered several items from almost each section of the menu.
we found the portions to be quite generous, delicious, creative and served piping hot! Great presentation as well.
We are all looking forward to returning soon!

This is our 3rd try at Casa Verde.
1st time – shrimp tacos were tiny and disappointing. Desert was good but too pricey. Service was great.
2nd time – taco salad in a taco bowl with steak, veges, black beans, and rice was delicious. Service was good. I was looking forward to ordering this again.
3rd time – the taco salad is no longer on the menu. Disappointed. Ordered Burritos. They were ouly and soft with not much flavor. Service was good. Real.
2 strikes.
We may or may not give it a 3rd try.

I have mixed feelings on this one. Has a great atmosphere. Service was nice. It’s definitely different for the area. But the food was very average.
The pupusa was small and at 5 dollars, not a great deal. I’ve been to a lot of spanish eateries where you get a big pupusa for cheaper.

Great vibe, commend the owners for curating a swanky and upscale atmosphere in Scituate. Food quality is another story….Two out of four of our party were very very sick from the same seafood dish. Stick to margaritas and chips if you go here.

The food here was amazing I would definitely recommend! There’s shopping were so many filling options like tacos and meats! The waiter was incredibly kind and super helpful. Not to mention it’s one of the most beautiful restaurants because of the design!

I my opinion the best latin fushion restaurant in Mass.
I live in coastal southern California, where mexican/latin fushion is everywhere. Casa Verde is a the top of my list of latin fusion food in the country.
It is casual tapas dining at its best.
