Casa Tequila is one of our favorite local restaurants to bring out of town guests who love authentic Mexican food. We most often dine in, which is always consistently amazing and time well spent! We have also tried carry out with a family style meal to serve 4+ and find the value and consistency remains even in take out style meals. Casa will always be a go to for dining out in Purcellville!

When you come to the bar, find out if Kilmar is working. He’s quiet but always delivers excellent service. On a bad day, I came in and he treated me like family. Since then he’s been the best part of my experience here besides the ribeye

I lived in LA for a number of years and I have a doctorate in Mexican food, so I feel my opinions here are worth more weight than others. Casa Tequila is the token Mexican eatery in town. Fortunately for us, it’s not just another basic American Tex-Mex joint you find across the US. Some highlights: ceviche, tacos and their salsa – all are on point and better quality/authenticity than this area deserves. The ceviche in particular hits notes that I have not been able to find since moving back East. Onward…the staff is friendly and professional which is refreshing. The scene here is the kind you want in a good Mexican joint – it’s kind of dingy and dark inside at the bar. This gives you the feeling like you’re sitting at a tequila bar in Colima. Looking at their alcohol selection, you can tell they put some thought into it. Additionally, they have every kind of margarita you could imagine, yes, even that weird blue one. This screed is getting a little long for a review but they deserve it, if you are a Mexican food snob like myself you will not be disappointed to have such a gem locally.

I pre-ordered a fajita platter (chicken/steak) for a party of 15. After placing the order, I realized that I meant to get the taco platter. I’d never had the fajitas so I was nervous but it was a GREAT mistake on my part. The fajitas were awesome and there was so much meat! The guys at Casa helped get all of the food to my truck and secured everything. I definitely recommend Casa for catering a party (and don’t miss out on their bomb pop margarita). Thank you Casa Tequila!

Great authentic Mexican cuisine. The burritos are great and the homemade salsa is really good. The burrito loco is my favorite. This is an amazing restaurant in the area.

I feel like it would be more like 3.5 stars but since that it’s not an option, I rounded up.

Overall this is a pretty good Mexican Restaurant in Purcellville. We have been here a few times and always have a decent experience. The service is hey ally pretty good and the food always comes out fast. The chips and salsa are good. Which is a plus because some restaurants have salsa that is hit or miss. And the quest with chorizo is awesome! I enjoy a cup of it all to myself because some other family members aren’t big fans of cheese… fine by me!

At the most recent visit I got the chicken and rice… a version of which is a favorite of mine at any Mexican restaurant. Honestly, this one was not my favorite. The cheese they put on it was almost more of a sauce and the dish ended up feeling like a pasta dish. The chicken was also over cooked and tough.

My husband got the Tacos Al Carbon and he really enjoyed them. And their rice is really good!

They also have a pretty good kids menu selection which we like. But honestly, their beef tacos are just okay. Whatever they cook the beef in made the crunchy taco soggy after awhile.

It’s a good place to go if you don’t want to drive too far and have a craving for Mexican Food. But don’t go expecting it to knock your socks off.

Absolutely phenomenal Mexican food!

We ordered the queso, seafood enchilada, & grilled Mahi Mahi fish tacos with mango pico.

The food is wonderful! Even the coke and Mr Pibb we ordered had the perfect balance of syrup to carbonation ratio.

We love Mexican food and have enjoyed many restaurants in different states over the years, but this place is one we both agreed on as a favorite!

Try it if you’re driving by and get the chance – you’ll love it!

I ordered for takeout at 7:50pm, and when I tried the food, the tamales didn’t taste fresh (almost like they had been frozen and then reheated in a microwave before being given to me) and had a weird color and texture on the bottom of them. We also got a second dinner combo, but 10 mins after receiving the food, the ground beef (which tasted wet, not greasy) and had soaked through the chalupa leaving it in a soggy falling apart mess. The side rice was also soggy and the chips tasted stale. I was very confused and spoke to the manager. He told me that they make the ground beef in the morning and let it sit on a steam tray “like chipotle” but Chipotle makes multiple batches throughout the day instead of serving meat that has been sitting there for at least 9 hours. The story with the tamales was the same that they make 4-5 in the morning and keep those in the steam tray, and I assume that is the case with the rice as well. The manager offered for me to bring the food back so they could look at it and see if anything was wrong, but what was wrong is I was served food that I was directly told had been made that morning and it was insisted that it was fresh. I don’t usually make complaints but I feel like they are bordering on the food becoming unsafe leaving it on a steam tray that long, all the while saying everything was made fresh. I was disappointed because it definetly wasn’t worth $33 plus tip and it doesn’t seem like an honest buisness practice.

The experience and service received at this location was AMAZING. The drinks were everything! We visited for margarita Monday….and all I can say is a visit on MONDAY IS WORTH IT. The drinks kept coming and the food was great!! Flavorful food, great drinks, and a attentive and personable staff. Doesn’t get much better than that. DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT.
