Absolutely unforgettable dining experience at Casa Roots! (January 2025)
Casa Roots was hands down one of the highlights of our time in Antigua. From the moment we arrived, everything about this place felt special, and it somehow just kept getting better.
The food was phenomenal. Every dish was incredibly fresh, bursting with flavor, and cooked to absolute perfection. We started with several appetizers, and honestly I would recommend all of them, as each one was a hit at the table. For the main course, the lamb stew was outstanding. It was rich, tender, and deeply flavorful, easily one of the best dishes I had on the island. Not a single person at our table was disappointed, and everyone loved what they ordered.
The menu deserves a special mention for its thoughtful variety. Whether you are vegetarian, pescatarian, or a true carnivore, there is something exciting and well executed for you. It is clear that a lot of care went into creating a menu that offers great range while maintaining excellent quality across the board. Prices are in Eastern Caribbean Dollar (roughly $3ECD to $1USD)
The staff were wonderful. They were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Service felt effortless and welcoming, with the perfect balance of attentiveness without ever being intrusive.
The atmosphere was truly the highlight. The restaurant is open air, with some tables right on the sand, creating a beautiful beachfront dining experience. The decor is exactly what you would hope for in a beachside restaurant, stylish yet relaxed. As night falls, the lighting becomes tranquil and calming, setting the perfect mood to enjoy the evening.
Simply put, Casa Roots delivers on every level. There were no negatives whatsoever, and it is a place I would return to without hesitation. If you are in Antigua and looking for an exceptional beachfront dining experience, Casa Roots is an absolute must.

Casa Roots has some of the best food in Antigua. The quality and love that goes into their dishes is obvious in every detail. The owner/head chef and his family and staff are kind and accommodating and understand food and service in a way that is becoming rare these days. Everything about Casa Roots exceeds expectations. If you want to experience amazing food in a gorgeous seaside setting surrounded by lush greenery, then please eat at Casa Roots! Absolutely everything on the menu is top-notch fantastic!!! We will most definitely be back!

Casa Roots was phenomenal! The entrance is absolutely stunning and so it the restaurant. The staff is very kind and dinner here was exceptional. We had dinner outside near the ocean and it was truly spectacular. Everything we had on the menu was delicious. Just make sure to bring extra bug spray if you’re seated outside.

12 of us were visiting family from all over the states. My boyfriend and I arrived a few days early and made a reservation at Casa Roots for dinner at sunset. A cousin who lives on the island highly recommended Casa Roots and it was by far our favorite meal over the 9 days we were visiting with the most delicious food, drinks and gorgeous view and decor. The beetroot cocktail I had was incredible and I actually had both salads, one to start and the other for my meal. Both were out of this world. My boyfriend got the tuna to start and said it was fantastic. I can’t remember what he got as an entree, but he loved it and he said the cheesecake for the dessert was the best he’s ever had. I had the fruit for the dessert and it was amazing. Our waitress was so sweet and we loved the decor!
We also sent our family (party of 10) after we had to head home. We were bummed to not be able to go back to Casa Roots, but they all loved it too. Casa Roots could not have been more accommodating and kind when we had to change our reservations too. Thank you for such a great experience and for being so understanding when we had to changes dates, twice.

Lovely dinner spot near Dickenson Beach. A beautiful atmosphere, aesthetic, great selection of foods. We loved their fish tacos. Love that they focus on whole foods and gathering foods from gardens.

Beautiful location, great drinks and excellent food. We had lobster, fish tacos and shrimp skewer. Plenty between 2 for lunch, quality ingredients and flavours. Food wise, a highlight of our trip. After lunch, we went to beach to see the pelicans diving for their lunch.

Fantastic Sunday lunch.. food was amazing.. I had snapper which was cooked beautifully and well seasoned. We shared some of the small plates and the outstanding one for me was the marlin. It was delicious! Service was faultless, attentive, but not overdone.
It was a sunny day, so we made the most of the comfortable beach loungers, had a swim and just chilled. Very nice atmosphere.
