Our team is very passionate about Casa Pearl’s concept, oysters and tacos! At first glance, it may seem like an odd pairing, but doesn’t it sound delicious? Oysters play a big part in the aquaculture, livelihood, and history of the Chesapeake Bay. Our team is obsessed with the two, and marrying oysters and tacos in a fun and lively atmosphere is the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Casa Pearl focuses on quality locally-sourced ingredients, seasoned culinary expertise, and gracious customer service. Our raw bar features many of the delicious fish & shellfish that the Chesapeake Bay region has to offer. Tacos are Latin-inspired, but with a southern twist. We do not take reservations. First come, first served. Takeout always available.

Hip seafood eatery in a converted gas station, with a raw bar & a menu focused on oysters & tacos.

This was our second time to Casa Pearl and it was even better this time.

Delicious and interesting menu without being pretentious, tasty beverages, elevated yet low key vibe. I’m still thinking about those fried plantains and my drink and that oyster po-boy taco. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Our server was Nazir and he was great. Loved the Virginia Beer Company collaboration wallpaper in the restroom with the pearly sheen. Restaurants in the 757 need to take notes and learn from Casa Pearl.

Love that this is in a refurbished auto garage.

Quick note- On the bill there is a 2.67% convenience fee- I assume this is for paying by credit card. So if you want to avoid this then perhaps bring cash.

I’ll definitely be coming back to Casa Pearl and highly recommend.

I absolutely love the atmosphere. The way they transformed a vehicle garage into such a nice, distinctive restaurant space is awesome and creative. Beyond the great interior, the food delivers: the fish was real good and tasted fresh. Highly recommended for a delicious meal in a unique setting!

We’ve been eating here since it opened in 2018 and it never fails to exceed expectations! The food is always extremely fresh, the staff are uniformly fabulous, and it’s just a nice, uncomplicated, chill place to hang with friends while eating delicious food. Today our server was John and he went above and beyond the standard excellence of the servers – friendly & knowledgeable, even though his station was hopping. Always a solid choice for good eats. I had the ceviche (forgot the photo) and the crispy Brussels sprouts. Ceviche was light and refreshing, the sprouts tangy and crisp. Hubby had three different tacos – swordfish, pulled pork, and fried oysters. They disappeared very quickly. Our friends shared the day’s fish special, charred sea bass over veg, also demolished quickly. Dessert was Key Lime trifle – we ordered one with four spoons and let’s just say it didn’t last long as we passed it around the table. Get there when they open to assure a seat as they do not take reservations. But I guarantee you will walk out with an extremely happy tummy!

Pricey but delicious so it’s worth it. Including the drive from VA Beach to get here. Cute part of town, seems like it’s a strip of Merrimac trail that has small quaint restaurants.
I ordered their whole fish with chili oil. It was served with shaved fennel, rosemary, micro greens, Brussels sprouts. They serve the fish head and tail on, I enjoyed it very much since I get to debone the fish which was super fresh. $31 for a small fish! I ordered their oyster po boy taco which had 3 fried oysters served on two tortillas and fresh cabbage, etc. Both dishes had a tad bit too much lemon/citrus taste and after taste. I just wish the fried oysters were placed on top of the veggies and sauce so they could stay crunchy and not soggy! The service was great, my server was patient going through the menu since I indicated it was my first time dining with them, everyone seems to be polite.

Always exceptional. Easily the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Everything is always delicious, from the dip, oysters, ceviche literally all appetizers. Best thing about this place is their consistency, we come here every single month and it’s always amazing!

It was an amazing experience from the time my wife and I walked until we paid and left. The oysters were so good they were like a drug I couldn’t put down. The food was so fresh and tasty. We will be going back and taking the kids next time. Casa Pearl is 10 out of 5.

This was our second visit to Casa Pearl. We arrived around 7:45 p.m., and since all food orders need to be in by 8:15, the bartender kindly and clearly reminded us to get our order in. Both bartenders were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient, which made us feel well taken care of.

We started with the fried Brussels sprouts and shrimp toast. Both were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The sprouts were crisp with great flavor, and the shrimp toast was beautifully presented with well-balanced flavors.

We tried the pork, chicken, and fish tacos, each one packed with flavor and carefully built. One tortilla was a bit too burnt, which left a bitter aftertaste, but the rest were excellent.

My partner had two glasses of Pinot Noir that were fresh and enjoyable.

What really surprised and disappointed me was seeing a three dollar charge for soda water. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade and have eaten out across the country, and I have never been charged for something so basic. It is not about the money, it is the message it sends. When a restaurant shows this much care in its food and service, small decisions like that can take away from the experience. It felt unnecessary and out of step with the rest of the evening.

Casa Pearl still delivers when it comes to food and hospitality, but I genuinely hope they reconsider things like this moving forward.

The hush puppies were very different compared to the ones I have had from other places, but were delicious. The char grilled oysters and fish dip, my husband loved them! I got the fish taco and it was pretty tasty. Super unique place. Not a lot of indoor seating.

We brought my mother in law here for her first time and let me just say—it was love at first bite. The char-grilled oysters? Life changing. She was mid-sentence and just stopped to close her eyes and savor (I kid you NOT!) that’s when I knew we made the right decision in bringing her to one of our favorite spots.

I’ve been coming here with my husband for a while now, and they never miss. We split the grilled fish (always fresh, always flavorful), and we request the chili oil on the side because a little goes a long way. Pro tip: their house hot sauce? We buy it every time we’re there.

We also ordered the ceviche (refreshing, balanced, and beautifully plated, and their margarita is one of the few in town that actually tastes crafted—not syrupy. The War & Pisco cocktail was a surprise favorite for my MIL; light, sparkling, with a perfect hint of raspberry and basil.

The vibe is cozy but lively, perfect for a date night or introducing someone to your go-to local gem. Every time we visit, the food is consistent, the service is kind but never pushy, and we leave talking about what we’ll order next time.

We stopped in just to check this place out and have a cocktail, I can’t wait to go back to try out some of the food.
Murphy Collier mixed us up some delightful and delicious drinks! It’s no wonder he took gold for overall best mixologist in previous CoVa awards!
