I heard about a second location of Casa Palomino coming to Casa Grande, AZ soon. I never heard of the place before. We were curious to try it out so myself and my wife decided to take a drive to Coolidge. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. The portions were great! Service was friendly. I got a “Mini Fiesta Platter” and finished the whole thing! We can’t wait for the Casa Grande location to open! See you all soon! Thank you!

Yeah, it’s really good.
When you first walk in, you know it’s going to be good.
They have very fair pricing, generous portions and authentic taste. That’s a win!
From carne asada fries and quesadillas to a la carte items to a bunch of great combination meals, they are all excellent.
The enchiladas are wonderfully cheesy, their green chili is amazing.
They do have a “gringo” section on the menu but I gotta think most people stick to their really good Mexican food.
They have several lunch specials that are a great value and are a lot of food.
They also serve breakfast all day but it’s a different menu. I haven’t tried that yet but it’s certainly on my list
Give this place a try. You’ll be glad you did.

Excellent green chili burrito enchilada style. Rice was homemade and delicious. Very satisfying lunch specials. I highly recommend this restaurant. It also has a drive thru window.

I enjoyed my first visit and will be back. I had the 2 cheese enchilada platter. I also enjoyed the chips and salsa. The older gentleman who served me was attentive.

Combination #1 – Overall the food was really good and great and friendly service. The tamale, rice, and enchilada were all good (6.5/10). However the shredded beef taco was fantastic (9.5/10) and the beans were a unique style of refried that I’ve never had before and probably some of the best I’ve ever had (9/10). All was topped off with a delicious red sauce and cheese. It was a huge portion and priced fairly. I wish I could add a half star to make it 4.5.

So far, best Mexican food in Florence- Coolidge area. Thank goodness! We are from Tucson and it’s hard to find a good space locally for GOOD Mexican food. Service was great too. Good specials for lunch and dinner. We will be back!

Recently my wife and I went to Casa Palomino. First off while putting the order in over the phone she had to repeat herself several times because the woman taking the order couldn’t speak English correctly and had a comprehension issue. That took a while and when we got there it turned out they still got the order wrong so we had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get it right. Then when it came time to pay we found out that the prices on the website are much lower than the actual new prices in person but Casa Palomino has not updated them. we wouldn’t have even gone there if they would’ve had the correct price up in the first place. When we finally did get the food it wasn’t even that good it was barely OK and we ordered two carne Asada burritos but got two ground beef burritos but at that point we just gave up and realized there was no getting through to these people we had already tried a lot anyways. We will never go back there

My wife and I were going through Coolidge and I asked if she wanted to get dinner.

She grew up in Coolidge and said let’s go to Casa Palomino Mexican restaurant. She said the food there used to be amazing.

As we entered I noticed the glass doors and the windows on the front of the restaurant appeared as if they hadn’t been cleaned in sometime.

As we entered the restaurant to the left of us was a big banner celebrating 30 years in business. That was in 2024 but we’re living in 2025, so that’s been hanging there for a year.

We sat down immediately at the far booth against the wall. When I sat down I put my hands on the top of the table and it was sticky. Our table looked like it hadn’t been updated in 31 years.

The server came over and introduced himself and brought chips and salsa and menus.

The chips tasted either slightly stale or store both. The were thick and not thin and crisp as I’m accustomed too. The salsa did have great taste. Nicely prepared, a little thick and not very hot. Both my wife and I enjoyed the salsa.

My wife ordered a taco and a cheese enchilada with a few onions, and I ordered the Carne Asada, medium rare. The food came out fairly quickly. As soon as they set my wife’s plate in front of her she began to pick onions off. There was a LOT of onions on her enchilada.

When he set my Carne Asada down I went from excitement to hopping it was going to be decent. The Carne Asada I was served was covered in a sauce or oil and it was thick and had a LOT of fat on it.

As soon as I took my first bite my wife could tell that I was not pleased with it. I’ve eaten and cooked Carne Asada at least 100 times in my life. Never have I seen Carne Asada that is 1/4 inch thick or thicker. It’s suppose to be thin. A little fat is ok. But I couldn’t even eat half of it because ot the sauce and flavor.

This restaurant might have had great food a long time ago, but today it was a total disaster!!!

We won’t be coming back!

Did we just find the best Mexican food in the middle of nowhere Arizona?! We stopped in as we were passing through town. It was full on a Tuesday at lunch time, great sign. The salsa was fantastic with great flavor. All of our food was so good. The kids loved it. If we’re ever in the area again we’ll be eating there for sure!
