Every time I come here the food is delicious as heck. I usually get the burrito Gordo that’s a personal recommendation but I stopped in today on my lunch break and decided I wanted to get a cheeseburger and holy heck the Mexican restaurant also has a delicious Burger. There’s several Mexican places in our town and all of them are really good but this one the service always hits the food is always delicious and I’m in and out in a quick timely manner.

Super friendly staff. The food was the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico. Big potions and amazing guacamole. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth stopping in and grabbing a bite.

We stopped on the way home from an extended vacation. I can only say the chips & salsa were edible. Manager said they were from Jalisco , Mexico. Should be ashamed to cook this bad. Ordered Carnitas for myself, Wife ordered Quesadillas with chicken, Granddaughter(16) ordered carnitas tacos, no flavor there either, NOTHING WAS Correct!!!!!!
First, the Kid working our table, was not versed in how to take an order, or seems like it. Had to come back twice to get order, STILL incorrect. I received Carnitas with rice and refried when I ordered Black beans, received refried, not black, When he did bring Black beans, tasted like they had come from can and cooked all day without salt or pepper. He came back to ask what type of tortillas I wanted, Flour, because I had to get some with order, did not get any with order. Had to ask twice for tortillas, received 2. Wifes order came out with BEEF, Not Chicken, what she ordered!!! And it was overcooked!!
Dry and Tasteless!! no season again
on tacos, told server, he never returned to table. When I waved to manager, nothing.
Restrooms were not cleaned looked like since a couple days ago, no paper in either except to get you by.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!, There is another up the street.
NOT MEXICAN OR TEXMEX, JUST Crap food from cans, not Mexican, As I just returned from Cabo not more than two months ago.
So anyone thinking this is good Mexican, GO TO MEXICO!!

Our favorite place to eat at in Grinnell! Phenomenal authentic Mexican food, I’m partial to the shredded chicken burrito with rice and beans, great margaritas, and food even our picky kids will eat!! Fries for the kids are always fresh and crispy!
And the best part?!… we always have leftovers to take home because there’s so much food!!
