Delicious food! Everything is amazing. They seemed a little low on staff- but the food was still delivered timely, hot, and delicious.

Popped in here with a group of us for lunch and enjoyed a delicious meal. I had the steak fajitas (lunch menu) and a margarita.
Perfect for a group and even though it was a lunch serving I took enough away for my dinner and more! So generous portions!

This was my second visit. Both lunches were so good! Their salsa is some of the best, and is included with chips. This time, I had a house margarita and enchiladas! I truly recommend Casa Los Abuelos!

Excellent Mexican restaurant located just off Highway 50, near Placerville California. Parking is sufficient and convenient. Large dining room with a separate bar room. Dining available in both areas. Menu is extensive offering many items not found in many Mexican restaurants . Food is excellent and served piping hot. Service can sometimes be a little slow but servers are cordial and friendly. Highly recommend stopping here when you’re in the area.

Used to love them now not so much. Your people gave us chips and 20 min later still no service. We walked out. Its like losing a best friend. Used to love bloody Mary’s. We will take our 100.00 bill elsewhere

We had a great experience here! Very busy but still got us in and served within a reasonable amount of time. The food was amazing! A little more expensive than other Mexican restaurants in the area but completely worth it! Good sized plates and everything we tried tasted great! Customer service was great as well. Waiter checked on us regularly. I will definitely be returning.

The food was good. Nothing special, just tasted like generic Mexican food. The Tres Chilis plate came with a huge chili relleno, a scoop of chili colorado, a half scoop of chili verde, rice, and beans. The chili relleno and rice were the best parts. The carnitas street tacos were good, the carnitas were nice and crispy, but they weren’t very flavorful. The beans on both plates were a thin smear of refried beans and a ton of cheese on top, more cheese than beans. The service was alright. It was Mother’s Day, dinner time, so they appeared on the busier side, but we were seated right away and there were several vacant tables. It took about 15 minutes for the waiter to come take our order. The prices seemed very high. Two plates, an iced tea, and a virgin Pina colada came in at a few cents shy of $60. I think the most disappointing part of the experience was getting the credit card slip back and seeing that we were charged almost $63 when our bill was $59 and change. Apparently they charge a “merchant fee” to pay with a debit/credit card. I’ve never been charged a credit card processing fee at a restaurant before, and with how high their prices already were, it seemed like an insult. Based on the mediocrity of the whole experience, we probably wouldn’t return here.

First time here & couldn’t be happier! Came here for a family birthday dinner & it was amazing! We had been to the restaurant when it was previous owners/name but never this one. Staff is awesome, food was delicious! The portions were perfect as well. Everyone loved the fried ice cream it was super yummy. The staff even did a birthday song for our grandpa & everyone in the restaurant started singing along. We will definitely be back! High recommend!

I have been to Casa Los Abuelos twice now, just wish I could go more often. As the crow flies it is 35 miles from my home which is off of HY 99 and Calvine Road.in Sacramento/Elk Grove. Very good Margarites, I have lime flavored, no salt, doctors orders. I do get a shot of Grand Mariner as a toper so it does make for a costly drink (but Oh so good) I have to comment about their chips & salsa, the chips were good, the salsa, well as they say “is to die for” Both meals that I ordered filled me up and as you can see from the picture I had plenty to take home. During my second visit the wait staff started moving tables together, which surprised me, with social distancing because of Covid 19. Shortly after a large number of people show up as a group and are seated, let the party begin. It looked like they were having a great time. I think I counted 28 around people.
