Super authentic Mexican food, easily a 10/10! Every bite was packed with incredible flavor. It was so good that I literally had to order another plate because the first one disappeared too fast. If you’re looking for real, flavorful Mexican food, this place is a must. Highly recommend!

Wow! This is exactly the kind of place you hope to find in a small town. The food was absolutely incredible – you can tell they use fresh ingredients and put a lot of love into every dish. I had the street tacos and the flavors were perfectly balanced and truly authentic. As amazing as the food was, the service was even better. Our server was so friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. You don’t get this kind of genuine hospitality everywhere. We will definitely be back and will be telling all our friends. Highly, highly recommend!

BEST MEXICAN FOOD I’VE EVER HAD IN TEXAS SO FAR. I’M DEAD SERIOUS. I’m originally from Peru and I can speak for this taste. Simply amazing. I had torta al pastor, among other dishes my family got. They loved it as I did.

I travel all over Texas …weekly. I’ve had a lot of bad Mexican food so I wasn’t expecting too much from this place in the little town. However, I was pleasantly surprised. We were warned that the salsa could be really hot… it wasn’t. At least not for our taste. I found the black salsa to be especially good. The staff were all very friendly and the food came out promptly. As for the food, I found the chicken fajitas to be very good along with the beans and rice. My friends had the green chicken enchiladas and the Huarache. Both reported the food to be great and were as surprised as I was. All in all, I definitely recommend this place. I wish all my experiences were this good.

This is the main place my husband and I crave when we’re away from this part of Texas. The ambiance is cozy and cute, everyone is friendly, and the food is a 10.

It’s always delicious, I’ve never had anything disappointing here, I’m sorry to make deciding more difficult but you can’t go wrong! The mole enchiladas and tortas are my favorites so far
We finally took my husband’s family here, who were wanting more authentic and delicious food, and they’ve been raving about it since!

I had been here before and absolutely loved it, so this was a huge disappointment. When we walked in only one table was full. On a Saturday night. That should have been a clue.

Paying for chips and salsa is just wrong. But we did and also ordered a side of guacamole, along with beef fajitas, a beef enchilada plate, and two sweet teas.

We waited quite a bit and one of the employees brought a plate of barely warm fajita meat, some beans and rice, and a barely noticeable scoop of guacamole. No cheese or pico. That’s it.

I went to the counter and the woman who brought the meat assured me the tortillas were coming. I let her know that I was there because we never received our chip, salsa, and guacamole, along with our drinks. She said something to another employee and I sat back down.

They finally brought us some stale chips, a bowl of watery salsa that wasn’t even half full, and what had to be the smallest bowl of guacamole I’ve ever seen. I quickly looked at their online menu and saw it cost $3.50. Being that you paid when you ordered, I didn’t have the energy to argue.

When we got the rest of our food and drinks, I asked if they had any silverware. Considering she’d been to our table twice, I was genuinely surprised that she was surprised we didn’t have any.

Once we started eating, it was no better. The only thing on the table that was more than lukewarm were the tortillas for the fajitas. And they were tasty. That’s the only reason I gave the restaurant two stars instead of one.

It would’ve been one thing had the place been packed. But cold food on a Saturday night when you are one of two tables in the entire restaurant is unacceptable. To make matters worse, their POS system asks if you’d like to tip when you pay, before you get your food. I tipped 20% and regret doing so. In all honesty, I never stiff anyone, but 5% would’ve been more appropriate.

I don’t know what happened, but that’s not the same place I’d been to before. Won’t be back.

This is our goto in Venus and worth the drive. The Huarache is my favorite and it sERVES every time. Hubs went with pastor street tacos, tender and scrumptious. It’s never packed, so right in, order and be treated like family. Don’t forget the pastries! Pan delce, piña empanadas, and huge cookies.

Very very small tacos. Nice flavor but not enough meat to absolutely enjoy the taco. The sizes of rice and beans is way too small portions. Could be better if given more amounts of meat and rice and beans.

Atmosphere, service, and price are all excellent. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, and I’m 1/256th Mexican.
