Me and my mom went the day after they opened, we were seated and got our ships and salsa right away. We both gave our orders (Me, Burrito with Chicken and my mom, Speedy Gonzalez with corn tortilla) waiter came back to check on my order. Then after some time ours orders came. But my moms bread was wrong so we sent it back. Then the second taco we had fell apart, like the corn tortilla just collapsed, then the third one we got had 2 tortillas? Which completely threw off the flavor and even then it was falling apart again. Me and my mom both cook a wide array of dishes and we both knew that if your toasted the one tortilla then it would have been able to hold the weight of the ingredients. I do agree with some of the folks the prices are a bit high compared to some other Mexican places in the area/
Summary
I think this location just needs some time to settle. My burrito was good, but apparently not all menu items are made to the same level. I loved the atmosphere and environment. The decorations were beautiful. The waiter was very confused the whole time.
I think it just needs time to settle and I will come back soon to see if anything improves
Service: Came in on a Friday and there thankfully wasn’t a wait time to get seated. However, after we got to our table it took 15 mins to get anyone’s attention even though our eventual server walked by our table a number of times. One of the female managers noticed our table, brought us chips, salsa and water and then took our drink order. Our drinks (2 king margaritas) then took another 15 minutes to get to us. We got the wrong taco (chorizo vs asada) and our server got the manager to rectify the situation but instead of 2 tacos he brought us one (although the one tacos he brought actually felt fresh and hot which made me think our other tacos had been sitting for a while)
Meal: We eventually placed our order for creamed corn with Chorizo, carnitas, carne asada, and fish tacos and the Texmex fajitas.
Their salsa is GOOD! I’ll give them that but that being the best thing of the night was telling. The fish tacos were also good (but I think they can go easy on the dressing) Overall, the food lacked flavor. The Tex mex fajitas were especially disappointing. I don’t know what it was about the carnitas but it felt too much of a mouthful.
Dessert wasn’t on the menu but our server shared what they had and raved about the mango cheesecake so we ordered it and were once again disappointed. I don’t think that’s cheesecake – the cheesecake itself was plain and the sorbet (haven’t had sorbet on cheesecake before) was what made it “mango flavored”. The texture was off and felt almost mash potato-y, and it didn’t have the crust base. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.
Atmosphere: the space is well decorated and intriguing and they find fun ways to keep the energy up with music and sparklers when someone orders a patron flight.
Misc: the appetizer plates are way too big for the small tables so it’s a clunky experience when you order all your meals at once. I ended up consolidating it all on one plate. So either you order one thing at a time or get sat at a bigger table.
Parking: the lot looks to get full quickly but thankfully we found a spot.
Overall I’d say there’s still lots to be done to improve but you can come here for the appetizers and drinks.
The service was truly outstanding too The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect.
One of the highlights of the evening was the beautiful bar area. It’s stylish and well-stocked, with an impressive selection of tequilas and creative cocktails. It’s the perfect spot to relax with friends, whether you’re starting the night with drinks or enjoying a margarita alongside your meal.
And I absolutely have to mention the mango salad — it was incredible! Fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor, the sweetness of the mango paired perfectly with the other ingredients. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the rest of the meal. Their pineapple ribeye was also outstanding definitely a must have. Management also need some praise for their positive attitude and attention to detail.
Overall, this restaurant delivers on all fronts: delicious food, excellent service, and a fantastic bar. I can’t wait to come back!
