This restaurant is a perfect representation of traditional American comfort food done right. The staff was enthusiastic and knew the menu well. I had the fried chicken with cornbread, and it was simply outstanding. The nostalgic décor, friendly atmosphere, and hearty portions made it an experience worth sharing with readers.

If you haven’t tried this place you need to check it out. It has perfect holiday season vibes. I have seen too many restaurants come and go from this location. I had the pasta and bread tonight, heavenly.  They ran out of cookies, so the owner couldn’t be nicer, he made me a beautiful & thoughtful oreo panna cotta. Dude. Yup, so good.
If you need a restaurant for a holiday dinner or brunch, I highly recommend this location. It has cozy indoor and outdoor seating with heaters for outside. Let’s keep their doors open this holiday season as we move into 2026.

Pretty good! I’ve only had their house pasta entree and grilled artichokes so far, and I enjoyed both. The pasta sauce was creamy, delicious, and loaded with meat! It’s definitely enough for two meals

This place is actually outstanding. Came here with my fiancée for a relatively fancy meal and was not disappointed. The meatballs were truly top-notch, the pizza was excellent, and the salad was solid (though not quite as superlative). The prices were surprisingly reasonable given the very high quality of food and the ambiance was very cozy — almost like dining in a very tastefully decorated version of one’s own home. The service was also excellent. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

The food and the atmosphere was perfect for a quick bite to eat. We enjoyed the BLT with soup and the pasta special of the day. If you don’t have reservations I highly recommend them we lucked out and were able to get a seat outside on such a beautiful sunny day with the heater behind us, it worked out perfect. Food appears to be very clean and homemade.

First off people don’t want to be greater with smile that is inviting and warm. I am not use to places like this. I sit down and again a smile and a friendly greeting. You guys need to stop doing that immediately. Not cool.
I order some food. Up first was the salad. I took my first full fork and almost spit it out. It tasted like it was just picked fresh from a garden. People only eat stuff like this if they care about there health. I ate the hole thing and had to suffer with the incredibly fresh taste in my mouth the hole time.
Then the pizza came. I took a bite of the first slice and it hit my taste buds as if they came back to life. This is not what I expected at all. My taste buds were screaming in pleasure as if it was the first time they ever tasted the power of an incredibly made pizza. This even had an affect on my face. Both the corners of my mouth lifted up and created a smile. I am not use to this type of sorcery. What ever they put in there pizza is straight witchcraft because I left that place with a big smile that felt so strange on my face.
That’s all I have to say about this place. Now I have to wait till this joy and happiness wears off. Who knows when that will be. To top it off I have to give them 5 star. Straight tragedy.

Casa is unique and charming. The menu is simple and balanced. Great selections and service. The food is phenomenal and well worth the price which is very reasonable. The braised beef sandwich came with a bowl to dip into the sauce that had beef floating around in it, needless to say it was quite tasty and a great size portion. They have indoor and outdoor seating and you line up place your order and they bring your food to you. I recommend this neighborhood gem in East Sacramento.

So last night 12/30/2023 I had the absolute pleasure of stumbling across Casa East Sac. I can say, I was extremely impressed with this small restaurant. I will tell you I am giving it A+++ rating.. This little place is filled with Great service, Smiles and above all Wonderfull food. The bathrooms were spotless by the way. Casa East Sac is definitely a hidden gem and I would go as far as to say in the top 3 restraints in Sacramento greater area. Reservations are recommended for sure. But Wait…. Let me tell you a little secret! I arrived during the dinner rush on a Saturday night with no reservation, obviously there were no tables available but I was offered seating at the bar. I was immediately greeted by Gaby who explained the specials and offered suggestions on apps and drinks. I realized I was blessed to be sitting on the left side of the bar as I had a Birds Eye view into the kitchen and the pizza, salad, and desert stations. I was able to see all the food coming out of the kitchen while at the same time see desserts and salads made. What amazed me the most was the cleanliness of the area. Staff washing there hands before and after touching plates and food, I must have watched the staff wash there hands 50 times during my hour and half visit. As a Travel Nurse I was so impressed at the dedication to high hygiene standards. I felt safe eating the food and sitting at the bar. I have 2 favorite restaurants I visit out of probably 75 places I have tried in Sacramento and I will say this is now a rival for one of the top spots. As a foodie it is rare to find a place that actually checks all the boxes from, friendliness, good food, cleanliness etc. I am here to say.. 100% Go to Casa East Sac!!!!

after a lovely meal here with family in October, my fiance and I decided to make an inquiry to see if we could host our rehearsal dinner here for our upcoming wedding. the owner invited us in to the restaurant to go over a menu for the event and stay for dinner. the owner was curt over email but I figured maybe sales is not his thing and he may be warmer in person. we travelled from san francisco for this meeting. not only did they forget about our meeting completely, but the owner sent out his hapless brother to ‘meet’ with us. brother obviously had no idea of our inquiry and awkwardness ensued. he promised to send us a menu over email, which to this day has not come through. it would seem they don’t want business bad enough to make an honest apology for completely wasting our time. would not recommend bringing your business here for hosting an event, which is unfortunate given the quality of the food and overall atmosphere
