That being said I was pleasantly suprised by my experience. Tje flld was good, staff was all great and the restaurant felt quite nice. I did find it to be a little on tje pricy side but not a rip-off.
Dear Casa del Toro Team,
Good morning. I hope this message finds you well.
I want to begin by expressing my appreciation for your establishment. Over the past three years, I have brought my family to Casa del Toro multiple times, and each visit has been a delightful experience. We have consistently enjoyed the ambiance, the quality of the food, and the attentive customer service.
However, I regret to inform you that my most recent visit, just two days ago, was quite disappointing. We returned to celebrate my wife’s birthday, expecting the same excellent experience we have come to know. Unfortunately, the service on this occasion was subpar. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we were made to wait for over ten minutes without being properly attended to. The only staff member who seemed to check on us was the busboy, which was not sufficient.
This experience was unfortunate and did not meet our expectations. Nevertheless, I am willing to give Casa del Toro another chance in the future, hoping for an improvement in service.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my
The Deviled Eggs were spot on and the Duo of Duck was very good. The confit leg fell off the bone and the breast had a beautiful crispy skin.
Overall good experience and I would return.
Very friendly with all her tables.food arrived on time and was delicious.
The appetizers were tasty, but portions were a little small, especially for the pork belly. The entrees were very good. Their potatoes were a highlight, perfectly seasoned and very fluffy. The dessert was a bit lacking, in my opinion. The flavor of the flan was a bit bland and not very sweet.
Overall, the food was enjoyable. Service could have been a bit better; we had to remind our server that we asked for water a couple of times, and they forgot to take the reservation fee off of our bill until we reminded them. In conclusion, it is worth a try if you go on a regular day so that the prices are not unreasonable and you have more options to select from.
We went in for roast beef pasta and a mixed ceviche appetizer. One ceviche sang—it was sharp, bright, kissed by lime and maybe blessed by fish gods. The shrimp one? Middling. The last? Unmemorable to the point of vanishing; a dish you eat and immediately forget you had. The mains carried the same theme: generic Mexican fare dressed up in the costume of “modern fusion,” overcomplicated without earning the right to be.
Here’s the twist: the place itself is gorgeous. Clean lines, modern touches, the kind of dining room you actually want to sit in. And the service? Impeccable. Our host, BEAUTIFUL, she was attentive without hovering—professional in all the right ways.
But at the end of the meal, you’re left with a simple truth: food should hit you somewhere deep. This didn’t. It was a pretty performance with no soul behind the curtain. Maybe the paella redeems it, maybe not. I’ll give it another shot one evening, but only because the promise of the space and the service lingers longer than the taste of the food.
