Casa Del Mar is a great place to eat! The staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The food is delicious and always comes out quickly, which is perfect when you’re hungry. I’ve had great experiences there every time, and I’d definitely recommend it if you want tasty food and good service without waiting too long.

Always great service. Always fast yummy food I definitely have my favorites and tend to use them on repeat which is the chipotle quesadilla and there’s a dinner option that’s not Quesadilla. It has poblano peppers, bacon, and you can get it and chicken or steaks.
We love to go for lunch and sometimes go for dinner

Lunch is definitely our favorite atmosphere

Waited 20 mins after ordering water for the server to come and take our food order. There were only 3 other people in the place. Order was messed up and food was burnt and nasty. They young men working werr sitting on their phones the whole time. Won’t be back here.

Alfresco dining, in door seating, is usually packed on FriYaY nights. Staff was super accommodating, kudos. Service was prompt! Loved the chips & salsa. Had fajitas, which were not the best I’ve had, but hit the spot, filling. Margaritas did it for me..although I am an admitted lightweight drinker..lol.. The finale slammed y’all…free shots to add to your margarita!?! (my 1st time experiencing this…very cool )

My recent dining experience at Casa Del Mar highlighted a widespread and frustrating trend in the hospitality industry: the belief that adequate food can compensate for non-existent service. While the food was acceptable, the execution of the dining experience suggests that the management has completely missed the critical link between customer interaction and business sustainability.
The Food: Merely “Okay”
The dishes served were technically proficient. The food was fine. However, it failed to deliver any spark or flavor profile that would justify a return visit. There was nothing on the plate that created a craving or left a memorable impression. In a competitive dining landscape, “okay” food is not a differentiator; it’s a foundation that requires exceptional service to build upon.
The Service: Robotic and Detached
The true failure of this establishment rests squarely on the service. The interaction with our server was transactional, robotic, and silent. This person seemed completely disengaged and could not have cared less about the basic principles of hospitality. It was the epitome of someone simply clocking in, doing the bare minimum or rather, below the minimum and leaving with a paycheck undeserved by the effort put forth.
A dining experience has two fundamental components: the kitchen’s output and the front-of-house service. When one side is neglected, the entire foundation cracks. The complete lack of warmth, attentiveness, and engagement from the staff signifies a profound disconnect between the restaurant’s ownership and its critical front-line employees.
Verdict
The current path for Casa Del Mar tolerable food paired with a culture of indifference means that growth and long-term sustainability are dead on arrival. The owners must recognize that they are not just selling meals; they are selling an experience. Until they invest in training, accountability, and a genuine culture of hospitality, this restaurant will remain a deeply frustrating and forgettable stop.

Saying I have been here 100 times might be an exaggeration. Saying 80 times visited definitely is not. The fact I have been here so many times when my food was wonderful is why it still gets a good rating tonight, when it was the worst food we’ve ever had here. I was truly completely disappointed.

You know it is a problem when a four year old is complaining about how chewy the chips are, but hey, free is free. My burrito was almost all bean and rice inside with very little meat. The meat was wayyyyy over salted. The shrimp on my plate were the only good thing out of all our food. And really, the shrimp were PERFECT other than being cold. My entire meal was cold.

My son always cleans his plate (normally two tacos or two tamales) and asks for more. Tonight, he didn’t even finish one. We got him one beef and two chicken. He ate most of the beef and wouldn’t eat the chicken. My son told me he wanted more food but didn’t want these. I asked him if he liked them and he said no.

That’s when I tried his taco. It was just chewing water. It was water wrapped with lettuce (water) with some cheese and was so soggy with a soaked tortilla around it. We left to come home and cook supper. Kielbasa and potatoes for the win tonight.

Again, normally our food is a five and I give a four tonight for history instead of a one. I really was surprised they didn’t ask us how it was or if we were happy. When I went to pay the bill, I didn’t say anything but the hostess asked how our food was. I responded, “Ughh, not good.” She told me my total and reached out her hand for the dinero. We will be back. If we ever experience this again, that’ll be it.

First time here and it was a great experience. Service was very attentive, decor was typical of a Mexican restaurant, and the food was delicious. I rarely get a quesadilla when I get Mexican food, but the beef and chicken quesadillas were AMAZING. Meat was flavored great, lots of cheese, I’m dreaming about it right now. Will be back!

I did my research for a Mexican restaurant. I found this and wanted to come and try it. We ordered cheese sauce and it was soup. That was my first weird sign of things. I ordered Chimichangas (one is beef one is chicken) they were the tiniest chimichangas I’ve ever seen in my life. After driving 25 minutes to get there I wouldn’t go back. Might have been a one off, but I wasn’t impressed at all. There was also a hair in the food, that was taken care of and removed from our bill.

I ordered a chipotle quesadilla during lunch, the food arrived in less than 10 minutes, I went to use the bathroom after my and my father ordered and once I came out the food and a refill of our drinks were out hot and delicious. Would come back again for the atmosphere but aswell the food because of how great it was.
