Giving this place a 3 because the fish was fresh, we went on their opening day (not knowing) and the manager or owner should have definitely had a private opening for his friends and family. I do agree that you should be extremely happy and proud about opening a new sushi location however we did not know it was a new location and the manager basically treated all his friends who came in like VIP, would have the chefs make them rolls and drinks score the customers who had been there waiting and everyone who didn’t know them just sat there and waited forever. Even the waitresses kept apologizing… don’t know if friends will come around and spread the word as much as local community members. It was pretty loud and it sounded like a loud bar scene.. not a typical sushi atmosphere.
The Rolls were fresh and the presentation was gorgeous! However that day the customer service was horrible it made us not want to come back until they are more established.
I usually take tons of pics and love sushi … we only ordered 2 rolls and left that night.

Second time at Casa de Sushi and I have to say they were very courteous and precise. Food was GREAT! Even received a treat “yellowtail” I will definitely recommend

Prices are TERRIBLE! Owner is rude! Sushi guys are great and nice, which is probably the only way they stay in business. Employee turnover rate is so frequent, it makes you wonder why.
I used to go 3 times per week. They started charging a corking fee for wine . They serve box wine which is why I always bring my own. I’ll never go back there. What a joke. $21 for 1 roll? $75 for AYCE, oh they have one for $55 but it’s very limited. They won’t get my money ever again.

This was one of the best fusion sushi I’ve ever had.
First off, this place is not a simple sushi roll dine-in. It’s Mexican and Japanese fusion, and I’d say more so Mexican-style Japanese food. I was very impressed with their art on the cuisine for the price. And then, as soon as I bit a piece, it was the right texture. Amazing.
I ordered a Dynamite roll, and I love how they grilled the scallops smokey and chewy. Also, the cowboy roll was terrific too. I never had such Asian-like yet Mexican style of taste this awesome.
Also, their serving is quick, and they constantly pay attention to the customer.
I love this place!!

We went during their special 40% off. I expected a rush.
But I feel for the staff. They were completely understaffed. We waited 30 minutes for a table at 12:00. They opened at 11. Sat down by 12:30 and didn’t get any service not even a drink order for 30 minutes.
To make it easier I wrote down my entire order so nothing would be mistaken. The young lady left out half our order. Including our babies food. I get being understaffed (it wasn’t a full restaurant) but we wrote it down to help. It was a two hour ordeal for a quick lunch. We ended up having to ask for everything to go not including things they forgot and charged us for.
The food was awesome but next time they run a special they should be better prepared. We only were there one hour after opening.

My disappointment is major. I was SO excited to hear that another AYCE sushi restaurant opened in SCV. I followed them on Instagram immediately. We finally got the opportunity to go on a late Thursday afternoon. The restaurant was clean, not too many people were there, and the staff was very friendly. The lack of information, lack of quality, and price are all where they lost points with me. Let’s start with the most important- quality. I tried 4 rolls, all with similar ingredients to what I usually eat elsewhere. There was NO flavor on the first two – just pointless calories. The second 2 both had eel sauce on top and it was either a mustardy taste or smokey taste? Not sure but it was gross and a struggle to eat. I couldn’t see or taste the shrimp tempura inside because it was so small. The aguachile shrimp sushi was delicious but WAY over the top spicy (I can handle spice). There weren’t any instructions anywhere on how their AYCE works or the price. Come to find out, it’s $50 per person. Everywhere else charges almost that for TWO people. We ate our money’s worth, I just wasn’t expecting it to be that expensive, especially for mediocre sushi in a very casual restaurant. Our bill came to $130 and there was a very kind note at the bottom that said a 4% fee is added for all credit and debit card transactions. That is important information to tell people ahead of time. Who walks around with $150 cash on them? Especially when going out to eat on a whim. All in all, we could have ordered sushi to-go from our favorite place up the street from us, bought 2 bottles of our favorite wine, ate it in the comfort of our home, shared with our 11 month old son without being charged extra, and had leftovers for the next day for CHEAPER, and better quality, than this place. Spare yourselves.

I wish I was able to give 0 stars!!! The service here was horrible. We were the only dine in people, which was 4 of us and the service was slow. We had 4 all you can eat and after the first order the server stopped serving us. We had to keep asking for refills, and the server forgot one of my drinks. I ended up canceling my drink because it was taking way too long. My son ordered two items and they forgot it. I would understand if the place was crowded, but it was literally just 4 of us in the restaurant. On top of the horrible service, they had the nerve to charge 4% for using my debit card. No where does it show I will have a 4% charge and NOT once was I informed of this, until after I noticed the difference in amount charged. I’ve been to this place before and today was the worst. The food was not refresh and the service was horrible. I will not be a returning customer and do not recommend this place…

Not the worst but not worth a second roll. I had the jalapeño popper as a starter and the spider roll as my first roll. Popper was messy and actually came after my roll. Spider roll was presented nicely but fell apart quickly. Even using my fingers, it would not stay together. Didn’t feel like wasting money on a mess when the simplest of rolls doesn’t work, why try anything else. I don’t mind spending almost $15 per roll if it’s great quality and standards but this was subpar as sushi goes.

I wasn’t feeling the customer service at all… or maybe it was just the belligerent customer they had in their… who knows. Either way ya put it I certainly didn’t feel welcomed and had to wait 10 minutes for 3 basic sushi rolls. Step it up !

When I saw this at my fb add, I wanted to check this fusion out.. since there is no ayce fusion in the valley, I had to try it, and it was very good. It’s 59.99 for the price for reg, and the vip is 70.99. Remember, it’s fusion, not regular sushi.
