While traveling between Tucumcari and Las Cruces we found this gem of a restaurant located in Tularosa. Authentic Mexican flavors and ambience from the decorative art and small gift shop to the smells and sounds. We had the unlimited chips and salsa ($7.95) with nicely seasoned chips and two salsa choices, a mild red and a spicier green, green chili stew, and tender chicken fajitas. Great service with Amber! Thanks for the meal!

My wife and I are visiting the area, and I chose Casa De Suenos as the place we were going out to eat, celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary…
The food was fantastic, as was the service. Our waitress (who also made the cookies that day ) was very cordial and friendly. Even the young man, manning the register was very polite and friendly!
We plan to patronize this restaurant more while in the area!

Well. 4 stars across the board. Don’t often do that unless I am impressed. The flavors were melded together. The shredded beef seasoned well. Rice and beans plentiful and loved the rice!!! The cheese was melted with a light crust. Really a great meal. Had to take home as usual. The salsa was spicy but didn’t scald your tongue but gave you the hot you’re looking for. 2 types of salsa served. Liked that added touch. There were previous comments about paying for the chips and salsa, but no complaint from me. Wait staff was attentive and hardly any time passed and food arrived piping hot to the table. Clean and decorated as you would expect, Mexican flair. Enjoyed!!!

Easily the best New Mexican food I have ever had. Portions were too big to finish, the rice was seasoned to perfection, and the tamale was out of this world. Always get Christmas & add queso; AMAZING FOOD!

Such an amazing place, 30 mins from white sands park. We had the bottomless chips and salsa, queso, tamale plate, enchilada, chimichanga, and fajitas. Everything was delicious.

My son and I (from Missouri & Texas) stopped by before heading back to Roswell, NM to try some higher rated (on Google) Mexican food, which we did not get. We ordered a Pepsi and a water, chicken & shrimp fajitas with rice, guacamole, Pico de Gallo, cheese, flour & corn tortillas. First, we were told the shrimp was 86’d, which means thrown away due to being out of date or already rancid. Then, we get our food and it isn’t sizzling hot, only the sound for a few seconds. The food was medium warm when received, the veggies were not grilled like they should have been, the tortillas did not taste fresh and definitely not homemade. The chicken fajitas (no shrimp like we wanted) were okay, but nothing special. I wish I could have given them a better review, but I was not impressed nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

I visited this place a few weeks ago and the experience is something I’ll definitely never forget.
I was staying in Tularosa and was looking for somewhere open for lunch, I found this place that advertised Mexican food.
Maybe it was my mistake for thinking it would be real Mexican food. The menu left a lot to be desired: very poor variety and few truly Mexican dishes.
So I decided to order a tea, which tasted like water flavored with a soaked dry stick, the worst drink I’ve ever had.
And then I ordered some “Kids Nachos”
They took about 40-50 minutes to get to my table When they arrived, I was expecting at least something appetizing, I appreciate that the toast was a natural tortilla, but frankly it was not good, the melted cheese was not nacho cheese, it was a curdled cheese mix that tasted like a cheap bagged cheese mix.
The beans were fine, but nothing more. And they were ground beans and not whole, a characteristic of nachos.
Surprising the portion was large for being for kids,
Overall, the taste was, frankly, the worst nachos I’ve ever had in my life.
Because of the price and my hunger, I had to eat them. To get rid of the taste, I had to use the aforementioned tea, that next to it, now tasted like the best drink.
And at night I had a stomach ache, I don’t know if it was because of disgust or because of the amount of cheap cheese.
Also, the smell in the place was strange.
But, the people I came with tried burgers and said that tasted good, maybe it was just my experience with nachos and tea.

The best New Mexican restaurant in the Tularosa Basin! Maybe best in the state! The tortillas are particularly fresh tasting and crispy, you can really taste the corn. And green chili sauce to match!

First time here.
I ordered the chile relleno plate, they were OK. No flavor and dry.
She ordered the taco salad and it was really bad, ground beef was dark and no flavor. Looked like it was old.
Tortillas were cold and soggy.
No soap in the bathroom, hot water was scalding! Burnt my hands. Bathroom had a odor.
Went to pay, waited around but no one came so I just left the money there on the stand.
Last time we will come.
