Best eggrolls we’ve had !
Takes me to the city of Mercedes Texas! Located right off the expressway at the Queen City Food Park you will find a food truck by the name of Casa De Hibachi . Established a couple months ago, Owners Mr. Garcia and Mr .Cano had a vision of opening up something for the valley people that would be unique to our everyday palate. They found a great concept in opening up a Hibachi Cuisine food truck. They pride themselves in serving the freshest meats, seafood and especially the vegetables. While speaking to Mr. Garcia about his ideas and dishes you can see the motivation, excitement and passion they are putting into their dreams. After he explained the menu and selections we chose a 2 meat combo of Prime Sirloin and Shrimp. We started off with some egg rolls and their in house made sweet and sour sauce. The day was a little warm, but the park had awesome shade canopies and a good amount of tables to sit down. We chose a well shaded table to eat there. No self respecting Restaur-aholic would dare take home great food to review no matter the weather or conditions . We first got our eggs rolls, fresh hot and crispy straight out of the fryer. I carefully dipped my egg roll into that red gooey, sweet sour sauce making sure the whole circumference of the egg roll I was about to sink my teeth into had a good amount. The sauce was soo good and loved the fact that it was served warm. Finally came our main plate. Accompanied with their inhouse made Yum yum sauce as Mr Garcia called it. We opened our plate, and released the plume of that delicious smelling steam. We were drooling holding back, because we all know the camera eats first . We tasted everything first without the sauces and the TASTE WAS FRESHLY DIVINE! The presentation of the plate ,especially the Shrimp made me reach first for one of those. My wife went for the veggies. I admired the shrimp for a while almost not wanting to eat the masterpiece Mr Garcia and associates created for us. I sank my teeth into the shrimp and it was cooked prefect, and well seasoned. The steak was just as good. It was grilled with the right amount of taste. The vegetables was no doubt my highlight. They were sautéed, but still left with that light veggie crunch. The portions in these plates are insane. If your looking for a Hibachi pick up lunch come and getcha some, Or come out on weekend evening, listen to some music and have a cold brew from their neighbor for truck. Either way make out here, you won’t be disappointed! I wish Mr Garcia and his team at Casa De Hibachi tons of success that their dream may last forever!
