Im updating my review to 5 stars because Ive been back since then and they’ve improved on the things I mentioned before. Total perfection and hands down the best birria tacos in Berks County!
To the people complaining about “No queso” and “no ground beef” that is correct because this isnt a Tex Mex resturant, its an authentic Mexican restaurant.

The food was very fresh, excellent and fast, large portion. I am giving four instead of five because they do not have any queso dip.My burrito was very good. I was charged for a little bit of sour cream even though it was supposed to come with it. No lime wedge on fantastic guacamole. They put paper on the plate. It is too large to eat with your hands so I use a knife and fork and kept getting paper in my food. I wanted to order the. Birria and asked if the onions were cooked or raw. I was told they were raw so I did not order that. I think they could make some very simple changes overall it was good. I definitely would not go there with more than four people. They do seem to have a takeout business. It is a very small restaurant and no, they do not have any alcohol.

I normally do not leave negative reviews. In fact I never have. We picked this restaurant based on it’s 4.9 stars. I’m not sure how it has received that.
We had to constantly had to ask for everything that a good server normally gives you. The young lady was nice. Just not ontop of it. They charge you extra for chips and salsa, weird…. Not how they do it in Ohio. They had no queso cheese which is odd for a Mexican restaurant. They had no ground beef, again odd for a Mexican restaurant.

My husband and I ate at Casa Cortes tonight. The Shrimp Cerviche was delicious! I enjoyed my Barria Quesadilla too! We will definitely be back!

Had the fajitas, they were AWESOME!!! The beef had a great flavor. The service was excellent, and the food came out quick. Surprisingly it wasn’t busy for a Fri night for how good the food is. It truly is a hidden gem. 1st time here, but will be returning… We’re picky about our Mexican restaurants, this one is a keeper !!!

Cute little taco spot in a strip mall, very accessible, with plenty of parking. We bought 60 tacos for a little celebration at work, and everyone LOVED the tacos and fixings. Workers were so kind and the service was great!

First time here tonight. I tried the Birria tacos for the first time and oh my god it was amazing. I also had one steak street taco and it was heaven on earth. These had to be the best tacos ive every had personally. The hot sauce was perfect as well plus the two round of salsa with the fresh chips was heaven on earth. I will be 1000 percent returning here. You guys are amazing. Very welcoming vibe as well.
