Customer service not the best experience, maybe because we are black. Brought my family here to try something different.
Got our order wrong and mixed up.
Gave my kids allergic reaction.
They gave a different Customer jalapeño for free but would charge me.
Cons: Not kid friendly
Customer service not the best.

Casa Canela in Stevenson Ranch is an absolute hidden gem — and one I can’t believe I didn’t know existed sooner. Located in the former Coco’s building, this spot has completely transformed the space into a warm, welcoming restaurant with incredible food and outstanding service.

I originally heard their breakfast was phenomenal, but dinner truly exceeded expectations. I ordered the steak tacos and shrimp tacos, both served on fresh, homemade corn tortillas that made all the difference. The flavors were authentic, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. I also tried the chicken soup, which was comforting, flavorful, and tasted completely homemade.

The service was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both excellent food and such a great dining experience.

Casa Canela is definitely going into my regular rotation. If you’re in Stevenson Ranch and looking for amazing Mexican food, this place is a must-try. I’ll absolutely be coming back.

Had the chicken nachos as wasn’t really feeling a big meal tonight. The nachos were amazing. Very good and filling. Service was great and would highly recommend

I’m local. Been wanting to try this place for some time. I hadn’t because it is too close to the freeway and what I call transient hotels. Typically, when you get a restaurant like this, so close to the two of those, it sucks – food and service. However, I have to say the food was amazing. I am a guy that judges a brunch spot based on eggs Benedict. Naturally, I ordered the eggs Benedict. Definitely in my top five of all the places that I have ordered this dish. Service was good and my dish was amazing. I ordered my potatoes crispy and they came out hot and crispy. My wife didn’t and they came out standard (also good, I tried them). Arrive was good. It’s a bit on the pricey side for breakfast/brunch but was good. I recommend.

I’ve been here several times, and they have never disappointed. The service, food, and hospitality are always wonderful. I’ve since started meeting weekly with a professional group, and our server has been extremely efficient. The manager, Gerardo, has gone above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. I highly recommend Casa Canela in Stevenson Ranch for great food, excellent service, and an overall fantastic experience.

I’m a big fan of brunch restaurants (or even breakfast restaurants that I decide to refer to as “brunch restaurants” to psychologically elevate the experience for myself. Enter Casa Canela, a newer location of a restaurant located on the other side of the Santa Clarita Valley, near all the hotels on The Old Road and the entire Stevenson Ranch community. We arrived, a party of 5 without a reservation, and had a short wait for a Sunday morning before being seated.

The staff was very friendly and our server did everything he could to make sure we got what we wanted how we wanted it.

It’s standard breakfast with some Mexican-influenced dishes and drinks. Somewhat on the pricy side…or possibly the cost of brunch overall has gone up everywhere you go. I had the Cafe de Ella as breakfast isn’t breakfast without coffee and why not try this special cinnamon-infused version of this breakfast essential. It was okay. I like a really strong coffee and many breakfast places just don’t brew it strong enough…coffee is kind of an afterthought…That’s basically what I got, a weak coffee that was somewhat saved by the cinnamon infused in it.

The food otherwise was good with large portions. I had a side of home fries and a side of French toast. The potatoes are nice big chunks with good flavoring and spices. The French toast was good.

Since it’s breakfast there are plenty of options for vegetarians and even the lunch menu has a lot to choose from, especially with the Mexican options.

You’ll get a decent meal here and will be taken care of well by the attentive staff.

I wish there was more air conditioning where we sat on the left hand side room, more decorations, and photo opportunities. We went on a Sunday at 11:00 am, and it took 50 minutes to sit 5 people. We did not eat in the main dining room. Parking is limited due to nearby hotel and amount of people dining, so consider carpooling. We each sat in individual chairs for our table. No ceiling fans or decorations to make the side room more inviting to eat in. This was my first time coming to a Casa Canela location. I liked the big bear in the waiting area and the food was delicious, but took a long time to get to our table. I was very glad that the food was hot. I loved my Fajita omelette! The food is on the pricier side, so I would keep that in mind when coming here. Our server was good, but we will dine at another location next time.

Really good place to get breakfast, first time here and will continue to stop by. My family and myself tried the rib eye chilaquiles, they were great! The meat was so good and cooked to just how i asked for it. Will be coming back. Prices can be a little higher than other places but the breakfast is good.

Update: I came back for breakfast on 10/11/25 and the food was good, but when I asked for the bill the waitress was counting my two year old son as an adult who was sitting on a high chair and did not even eat anything from the menu. Keep in mind it was 5 adults, my two year old boy and a baby. The waitress counted my two year old as an adult and their thing is that in a party of 6 they automatically charge you gratuity. I told the waitress about it and she just told me that that’s how it is and that she couldn’t change it because my son was taking up a seat. I was going to leave a tip regardless, but the fact that she counted my two year old son as an adult just to get her tip is just not right. Did not want to argue so I just paid the bill. Those type of waitresses just make people not want to come back.

Excellent food and service! Have been here several times and food is constantly good. Good portion sizes and staff is wonderful. We have tried both breakfast and dinner options and everything has been delicious. Busy on Sunday so pack your patience but definitely worth the wait.

First of all….. The ants all along the walls was an immediate turn off and concern. Then their attitude when I asked about it. I can’t eat certain foods and when I asked about ordering something separately , the sever had an attitude about it. Back to the ants all on the walls and windows, they finally moved us, then just kept sitting people where we were…. Food is meh.
