No tequila for a extra shot to add to my sub par marg sad food cold and wrong they brought out replacement food, but still the whole experience just kind of sucked the queso was good that’s all I can really say my daughter says that the food is generally very delicious. She was very disappointed. She is a definite repeat Customer tonight was just off. And my first time here !

Ok. So I’m a snob when it comes to Mexican food. I’ve had in Texas, Mexico, New Mexico, Arizona, and San Diego…with that said, it’s really really hard to find good Mexican food in Jacksonville. If this is the only place you’ve lived and haven’t experienced Mexican food outside of Jacksonville…well I’ll just leave it at that.

What I will say, it wasn’t bad. It was decent. What really surprised me was how much food came out for the price. I was having lunch with my mom and husband. They both wanted fajitas. I said, just get the Fajitas for two. And I had the chicken fajita bowl. The picture of the fajitas is what you’d think would be for two people…nah man, two of those came out with each of them getting their own sides. it was enough food with my fajita bowl for 6 people easy. It was pretty empty when we went inside. Only two other people. So our overall experience was great. Would I go again? Most likely.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. It is one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. 1st there is a drink guy causing a trouble and the waitress is still serving him. 2nd I ordered the chim with steak and chicken with cheese sauce and no where on the menu does it say they put red sauce on it but they did, so I had to send it back the second one only came with chicken

The pork chimichanga is good but a bit salty for my taste. The fried burrito is done well. The best part is the bean! Very fine and the consistency is thick. Tasty and not grainy. The fried fish is crispy and tasty as well. The rice is not cook properly. A bit hard and tasteless. Overall, the food is tasty. The restaurant has decent deco and generally clean. The waiteress is friendly. I believe they use msg for flavor which I am not a fan.

A True Delight for Mexican Food Lovers in JAX!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa Bonita Mexican Bar and Grill in JAX, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, my experience at this establishment exceeded all expectations.

First and foremost, let’s talk about the star of the show—the tacos. Casa Bonita served me the best tacos I have ever tasted in JAX! Their “Soggy tacos” were simply incredible. The combination of flavors and textures was a mouthwatering experience that left me craving for more. The tortillas were perfectly soft and moist, enhancing the overall deliciousness of the fillings. Casa Bonita definitely knows how to make tacos that are on point!

Not only did Casa Bonita excel in the taco department, but their menu also boasted an array of delectable dishes. My wife had the enchiladas, and they were nothing short of amazing. The flavors were rich and authentic, and every bite was a burst of culinary delight. Casa Bonita truly knows how to create an enchilada that is beyond compare.

In addition to the exceptional food, the service at Casa Bonita was commendable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and prompt in their service. Despite a busy evening, our food arrived quickly, allowing us to enjoy our meal without any unnecessary delays. It’s always a pleasure when great food is paired with excellent service.

Overall, I cannot recommend Casa Bonita enough. If you’re searching for the finest tacos in JAX, look no further. Their “Soggy tacos” are a game-changer! And if you’re craving mouthwatering enchiladas, Casa Bonita has got you covered. With prompt service and a menu that will satisfy even the most discerning palates, this Mexican gem is a must-visit for all food lovers.

I’m grateful to have discovered Casa Bonita Mexican Bar and Grill, and I’m confident that you will be too. Give it a try and prepare to be blown away by the incredible flavors and dining experience they have to offer. Bon appétit!

We’ve been twice. Just not impressive. And we want it to be! No specials, margaritas aren’t consistent and are weak. The menu says 21% alcohol but I don’t agree. The carne asada was thin, tough, and bland. Plates are small. Taco salad shell is not fresh.

They don’t have cliff divers and must have gotten rid of Black Beards Cave, but the food was really good. Only complaint about the food was that my burrito was pretty heavy on filler lettuce.

Ordered for delivery. Asked for a chimichanga with no onions peppers or tomatoes. Instead received a chimichanga filled with ALL of those items and a ridiculously small amount of chicken. Food was cold, cheese dip was oddly thick and basically solid when I got it. Won’t fault the restaurant for the ice cream that comes with churros being melted upon arrival, but outside of that I got food that was genuinely not good and not up to my expectations leaving me having to dump my chimichanga pull out all the stuff I asked to not have and enjoy my maybe thirteen small pieces chicken. And it doesn’t even taste good. Waste of money.
