Our first time here, and we absolutely loved it. Comfort food for sure!!! The amount and flavor for the value is great!!!
We had order the Country Fried Steak and gravy. It came with green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and a roll with a salad. My son had the “special”,a steak, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, roll and tomato soup and a mini corn muffin. My daughter had the fish platter, that came with green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, a roll, fries and onion rings, a side tomato soup, with a mini corn muffin!!!
I got 2 kids meals of fried chicken. They were full size pieces of fried chicken with fries. We were very satisfied . We so recommend Casa Blanca!

We stopped by Casa Blanca as we were passing through town. If we hadn’t read the reviews online first we wouldn’t have stopped in. The exterior is basic white block construction, not the most inviting place. When you go inside it is your typical small town type of restaurant. The service is friendly and efficient, they even have iPads for taking orders. The menu is surprisingly diverse all be it almost entirely comfort food. If you are looking for a substantial meal… you can’t go wrong here! The servings are affordable, hearty, quality and served hot. You can tell the locals appreciate this place and my wife tells me it is well known in the area. We ended up taking home two boxes of leftovers. You can easily split the Sea Food Special. It was a massive plate and very fresh. I gave them 4 stars because they could definitely improve the interior decor and exterior curb appeal but ultimately the food was good and so was the service. I would definitely go back even though ambiance is not their strong point… I guess what I am saying is don’t pass it up just because it’s lacking curb appeal. You won’t be disappointed.

Great friendly customer service. Food is not that good would not recommend. Saw an employee take an uneaten muffin that a customer left behind and place it back in the sweet bread display. Ordered the Camila Special which was $9 on menu said it came with enchilada crisp taco, refried beans, chips and guacamole. When plate arrived there were only slice of avocado. Asked server where the chips were she said that they discontinued the chips and guacamole and that now plate only came with slices of avocado. They should update the menu so costumers are aware. The only reason I order the Camila Special was cause it was a .50 difference from the enchilada plate. Will not be going back.

I love restaurants like this. The food was cooked fresh, and it tasted like your grandmother made it. If I could suggest anything, I would say if y’all double fried your French fries, they would be absolutely perfect! Thank you, Gisele, for warm and attentive service.

I love this little Rio Grande gem. This is a true South Texas success story. Family owned and operated, always above average food. Service is spectacular! I recommend the Seafood Platter and sweet tea. Everything on the menu is good, I’ve had it. Finish up with some of the homemade pie. Highly recommend. If you’re in the Valley it will be worth your 30 minute or so drive out of the way to stop in and have a bite.

These small hometown restaurants are almost extinct.
Hard to find a place with service or food this good.
The specials are an excellent price point and most include tea.
The hamburger is tasty and comes with homemade fries.
