What a delicious meal! We stopped in for a quick lunch and were very pleased with our experience. This place is clean and well decorated. The atmosphere is top tier. Even the bathrooms were amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and provided excellent service. Our food came out hot and fresh. The guacamole was one of the best we’ve ever had. Full of flavor and you could smell the freshness from the avocados. We ordered a dish for two and we still had left overs. Excellent meal and we will be eating here again very soon.

Totally worth the hype! Our server, Maria, was absolutely wonderful; she was sweet, funny, and patient. Their menu has such a wide variety of Latin foods and their beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are phenomenal. The atmosphere is surreal and full of faux lush greenery and flowers. It feels very secluded and private even when you’re in the middle of the restaurant.
Fair warning for large parties, they only have three tables that seat six people (you probably could fit 8-9 if you tried though).

Beautiful establishment. The place is definitely a vibe and photo shoot ready. Whomever decorated did an amazing job. I was disappointed by the service and some of the food. We found hair on our appetizer. We were offered an apology and offered a remake. It was a no for me. The only thing that saved us from eating it before it was discovered is the fact that our waitress didn’t provide us with silverware to eat. Which left us looking at the food for about 5mins. We had to ask for napkins twice before we got any.. silverware twice before we got it, the dip cup I needed for my doggy bag consume I also had to ask for twice. The cup was also the same size container that was used for our $6 to go esquite bowl.. definitely not bowl or an adequate portion for a stand alone item in my opinion. It’s about 4 tablespoons worth of food. They also ran out of the signature Valentine’s Day dessert. We might give it another try.

10/03/25, Dinner for my birthday at Casa Azul was, once again, amazingly good. Our very attentive server Kevin was very attentive to our needs. The food was amazing as well. This place is my new favorite go to restaurant for finely prepared delicious Mexican foods and crafted cocktails. The Guacamole was on of the best I’ve had! I had a delicious signature margarita and my brother had a wonderfully prepared Old Fashioned! I cannot say enough about the friendly staff and fine dining experiences that I’ve had here.

Absolutely blown away by this new New Mexican restaurant in town!
From the moment we walked in, we knew this wasn’t your “typical” Mexican spot. The atmosphere is super cool—modern and vibrant with amazing design, decor, and upbeat music. It’s got that artisan vibe where every detail feels intentional and elevated.
The menu is top-notch, with creative, high-quality dishes that are beautifully presented—seriously, the food comes out looking like art. The prices are more than fair for the quality and experience you get.
Service was outstanding across the board. Our waiter Sam was friendly and knowledgeable, Stacy at the bar made incredible cocktails, and Zaul, the General Manager, clearly runs a well organized business. You can tell the entire team genuinely cares about creating an unforgettable experience.
Oh—and if you’re celebrating a birthday, don’t miss it! Their glow-light birthday celebrations are ridiculously fun and unlike anything else around.
This place instantly jumped into my Top 3 favorite restaurants in Gaston County, right up there with Everyday Market in downtown Belmont and Barristers in downtown Gastonia. If you haven’t been yet, go now. You’re going to love it! PS – best plantains I’ve ever had!!

I tried this place despite the negative reviews because I wanted to judge for myself — but unfortunately, the concerns were valid.
We began with the guacamole, which was decent but lacked lime flavor, making it taste a bit plain. Thankfully, the chicharron added some needed texture and taste. The Tostones Rellenos Zaza were good as well, but the shrimp portion was extremely disappointing — they actually split a single shrimp, which made no sense.
My husband ordered the carne asada, which was just a very thin slice of steak no taste to it very bland. I ordered the cochinita pitbil — the seasoning was nice, but the waitress served it with corn tortillas without asking my preference, and I don’t even like corn tortillas.
For drinks, we had a Traditional Mojito that tasted more like a mocktail considering the price. I ordered the Smoke Bubble Azul, but the bubble popped within seconds after being placed on the table, so I didn’t get the full experience.
The service was the biggest issue. The waitress brought appetizers after we ordered drinks, but then rushed the main entrees to us within seconds — making it feel like they wanted us out quickly. After that, she disappeared, and we sat there waiting for the check, surrounded by both appetizers and dinner plates.
And just a heads-up: no refills on regular drinks — which we found appalling given the already disappointing service. This place should not be considered Authentic Mexican.

Overall, I love the atmosphere and total vibe of the place! It was so cool. As far as the food, it was delicious. On the other hand it was definitely smaller portions for what I had and definitely a little bit more on the pricey side compared to other mexican restaurants but if compared to getting a full large meal at like McDonald’s or another fast food place it’s definitely worth the extra few dollars for a sit down place. It’s a “Mexican kitchen” so I should expect it to be a little more as far menu prices but overall, very nice and would probably go back sometime in the future

Amazing midweek unexpected experience! We were running errands and decided to grab some Mexican. Food was good; typical for what we’d have elsewhere, priced reasonably. Atmosphere is over the top – very impressed. Ambiance goes a long way for us, and we truly had an experience. Perfect signature margarita is a must! Service is great, very attentive. Maria took amazing care of us. We’ll definitely be back!

Pretty restaurant but falls a little short on service and food. Free chips and salsa. Food came out fast but our server kept needed to be reminded of little things like straw and to bring out my desert. Main dish was great! Need more appetizer and dessert options. Tres leches tasted very strange like just Carnation milk….However, great pricing for the portions of food that you get.

This was a very enjoyable evening out with family. It was our first time here but definitely won’t be our last! The atmosphere was very relaxing. Ambient lighting and decorations gave off a very nice vibe to the overall space. Made us think we were in a Mexican Cafe. The food was authentic, flavorful, and plentiful. The fresh guacamole was delicious as well. We ordered the ACP TEXANO, ACP PASTOR VIP, BURRITO SUPER TEXANO, and the STEAK FAJITA. We were all thrilled with our selections and vowed to return often. Merelyn gave us impressive service and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We were checked on by every staff member in the area, so we didn’t even have a chance to need anything for more than a split second. We are all very impressed.
Dec 13,2025 Paid them another visit, with friends this time. They hadn’t been yet, so we were excited to bring them. We had a fantastic time. We had Merelyn as our server again, by request, so the evening’s outcome was the same. GREAT! We enjoyed two TEXANO fajita, a 12oz (?) T- bone w/street corn, and a chicken and shrimp meal. Beforehand, we enjoyed chips and salsa, and a guacamole/cheese/sausage & cheese sampler. They had fun with the lights in the Margaritas and loved the dark beer. They are already talking about coming back! Thank you, again.
