Service is meh but the food is very solid. I had the biggest burrito they offer (I forget the name) and it was very good. I should not have finished it but I powered through and ended up like the gluttonous uncle at Thanksgiving patting my stomach! If I recall my daughter had the burrito bowl or something similar that she enjoyed. The nachos as an appetizer were very solid as well!

We went to Casa Agave and had such a great experience! Ernesto was super nice and made the best drinks. The food was amazing too! We had the steak fries and they were the best I’ve ever had — the steak was juicy and full of flavor, not dry like other places. The restaurant is big, really pretty inside, and has such a fun vibe.

This was my inaugural dining experience, and I found it to be exceptional. The staff demonstrated outstanding professionalism. The hostess was particularly welcoming and cordial, and the waitstaff provided excellent assistance. The beverages were expertly prepared and flavorful. I greatly appreciated the inviting ambiance and the amiable demeanor of the team.

The cuisine was superb. I ordered the “3 Amigos” and highly recommend it; it was truly delicious.

I am thoroughly impressed with this establishment and anticipate it becoming my preferred dining destination.

Amazing experience! The service was top-notch, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was awesome—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Everything from start to finish was handled perfectly. I highly recommend eating here, and it’s also a great place to host parties or events. You won’t be disappointed! Oh and dont forget to try the margaritas. They are the best in town! Thank you guys/ladies for making our Christmas party unforgettable!

We went on a Friday evening around 630pm. Not too busy, got right in. Good margs and the food was even better! I got the fajita burrito which was excellent. I feel the need to give their rice and beans a shout out. They were very flavorful and delicious! My husband had there burrito loco…he ate it so fast I dont even remember what it looked like so it must’ve been good. Service was fast and efficient! I left my leftover box on the table by accident (Margaritas + holidays = this mama has a fried brain) but our sweet waitress saw it and caught me in the parking lot. That’s going the extra mile! Appreciate her so much!

This place is unbelievable. Ridiculous margaritas specials. Absurdly generous food portions. Friendly staff. All packaged in a delightful ski lodge-looking venue–high ceilings, cedar wood, fireplace.

Altoona, you don’t deserve this treasure.

Very warm cozy festive and clean organized restaurants. Decorated for the holidays. Walked in and felt so very welcome!!! Servings were large, prices were extremely reasonable. Chips and salsa and every bite was fresh and outstanding. Fresh ingredients added to the delicious flavors. Ordered original margaritas. I ordered a steak fajita quesadilla with all the fixings. Loved it!!! My mother ordered a ribeye with steamed veggies and rice. We took home enough for another meal or two!!! Everyone should be dining here!!! Worth a trip once a week!!! They are happy to be in Altoona and we need to welcome them with our business!!! You will be glad you did!

It was a great experience; I’m single and venture out to find places to eat often after work. I debated on this place for a while. I went inside they luckily had a bar area.

It took a bit to get a drink as they have their server station in a small hallway behind the bar,, so the focus is on the tables outside. This spot really seems more set up for families or groups.

I had the jalapeno margarita along with the Monster burrito. Both were good. The monster burrito consisted of a lot of rice mixed with steak, and then there were slices of avocados in the middle.

Ultimately, the service was excellent. I know they were all working hard, and I recommend coming here.

Enjoyed the margarita flight, good food and quick service

*Update ~ another great visit with amazing service. I wish I’d have caught her name, but she was attentive without being overbearing and then made our evening by suggesting delicious margaritas.

Update: We returned to try it again. They either fixed the thermostats or learned how to use it as the atmosphere was comfortable. The salsa was still fantastic and the service was much improved. My wife and I share a plate of the Supreme Nachos and I ordered a soft shell taco. Both were outstanding.
I will say the food took a little time to come out compared to other Mexican restaurants but I consider this a plus as we were able to enjoy socializing and drinking our drinks.
If you had a bad experience definitely give them another try, they are listening to customers and eliminating the new business kinks. See you soon!

Decided to visit the new Mexican restaurant in Altoona. It was busy but there were plenty of empty tables and we were seated immediately.
We waited about 15 minutes for the host to come over and take our drink order and he returned quickly with the water and soda but the House Margarita took another 15 minutes. Finally, they took our food order. We requested more chips and salsa as we were sitting there for a while and ran out, they brought that out right before we got our food. I will say the salsa was fantastic.
I ordered the Hawaiian Fajitas and the wife ordered the Altoona Special. The Fajitas were a hit the shrimp were a good size and very flavorful. The wife liked the Special but the put a sauce over the chimichangas which made them soggy and something in the meat chimichanga was rather spicy for her.
I give being a new restaurant to the service issues.
The food was good but nothing stood out from the numerous other Mexican restaurants in town. The one con was the needed to turn the heat on as it was extremely cold in the restaurant to the point my wife put her gloves on.
We will return, hoping the cons get better.
