Was here 2 weeks ago on a one day layover and LOVED IT. Back again for another 1 day layover. Hustled my butt right back here to Casa 12. Thanks especially to Carlos, 2nd time here was just as lovely. Great playlist, open air, really nice wines, exceptional pasta and more. Cannot recommend this place enough. ❤️ ❣️

I was here for a group dining experience and the host and servers all took great care of us. They were very accommodating with splitting the checks and ensuring we all got what we ordered. I had the grilled octopus. It was some of the best I’ve had in recent memory – perfectly tender and well charred with nicely seasoned vegetables to accompany it. The space is airy and was not too loud on a Sunday afternoon.

Excellent food. The salad with the Grilled Octopus was very good, it included delicious sauteed tomatoes. The sauce with the Lobster Ravioli was delicious. It was tomato-based. The sauce with the Spiedini was unnecessary, though the arugula was too bitter without it. Go for the side of Gamberi if you want grilled shrimp. The side is just as tasty.

Cute little place near the beach, but very loud, difficult to hear anyone both from loud music inside and a cat blasting music outside on the street.
Menu online reflects vegetarian dishes that aren’t served any longer, according to waiter. The only vegetarian dish is penne with red sauce.

The food was excellent! The handmade pastas and veal dish were fresh and had a distinctly homemade taste. The service for the higher price point was subpar. The staff were very friendly but at times, we felt like the forgotten group in the back of the restaurant. Bread was missing, balsamic with oil was missing, one salad did not come so we had to ask.

I’m, quite frankly not sure how this has a 4.7 rating on Google. I ordered the Crostino – this was the same bread that they served as the table bread, only it was as cold, the cheese had decent flavor, the “crispy pancetta” was just over fried bacon with an after thought of balsamic drizzle. 2/10.
The Caesar salad may as well have been purchased from Ralph’s. Lettuce was chopped into tiny pieces. The dressing was insignificant. The anchovies were disgusting. 1/10.
Both pasta dishes were nothing to write home about and the pasta itself was not Al dente. Overcooked and boring. 5/10.
If I sound angry it’s because I am. I live down the street and wanted to treat my party to a nice dinner at the spot I was looking at for the last two years after moving close. I’m not expecting Michelin star quality but if I’m spending $110+ for a meal plus tip, I’d expect better. If I’m going to a restaurant, I’m going to eat. Atmosphere and service can be ignored if the food is up to par. Quite frankly, the food was a freaking joke. This wasn’t a one-off – the way each dish was far below expectations highlights how there are fundamental issues with the food and prep behind it. If I can go home and whip something up something exponentially better with little to no thought or pre planning, then I have a problem and everyone should as well.
Do better.

One of the best Italian restaurants in LA. Authentic Italian cuisine, great location steps away from the beach in Marina Del Rey. Wonderful service, vibe and menu. Now open early for breakfast!

Wait this place is actually so good? Not cheap but it’s the westside. We loved the bolognese, the seafood risotto but with pappardelle, the scallops appetizer special, and the branzino. Would skip the Caesar. Everyone’s so nice too! We loved Italian Johnny Depp.

Came here to celebrate a girlfriend’s birthday. We let the server know it was her birthday when ordering and the next thing we know, they brought over complimentary champagne to toast with. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. My favorites from the night were the tuna tartare and the veal ravioli. Then we ended the celebration by the staff bringing over complimentary desserts with a candle. It was so yummy and so thoughtful. We will definitely be back!
