The café is the kind of place that we hear over and over referred to as a “dying breed”. It’s a place where you walk in the door and you feel like you’re at home or you’re having a déjà vu moment. The classic welcome chalkboard, the quant but antiquate space, a small kitchen with a stainless steel order rounder, and the wood panel walls. Most likely you’ll be greeted with a smile or some kind of sarcastic joke, but it won’t take long to figure out that’s just how things are.

Compact, roadside mainstay with a familiar menu of American diner grub, including all-day breakfast.

Absolutely incredible! I arrived at 8:01 on a Sunday and the parking lot was already getting full. Highly recommend getting there early, if you are a Twilight fan! The staff is so sweet and patient. The food was hot, fresh and affordable. Truly a great experience. Thank you all so much!

Before getting here, I educated myself on how it all works. Most of us are going to visit because of Twilight (we were!), so wanted to make sure it was smooth when we went.
We went on a Saturday morning, got there about 8:10am, there was already quite a few people there, but parking was still decent, and when we walked in, there were no small tables available, however, there were 2 seats available at the bar.
I understand most people want to sit at the table that was featured in the movie or the other areas by the windows, however, I feel like we had really good seats in the house. Because we were able to talk with the staff, and they were so sweet and nice!
Some reviews said the staff was unfriendly and rude, but we did NOT experience that.
They made us feel welcomed. Just gotta have a little patience there. So just give them time to get to you, they will!
We had a nice view of all the Twilight decor!
Per the reviews, know what you want to order when they come ask you, because it does take about 30ish minutes to get your food. But it was absolutely worth it!
Definitely has a homestyle/Café diner style breakfast and it was so yummy.
All the other fans were passing around the book, so don’t forget to sign it if you’re a Twilight fan! They have merch too, we got hats and mugs!
We had the best experience!✨

Carver Cafe is a really charming place with a cozy, Twilight atmosphere. The decor is thoughtful and nostalgic, perfect for fans of the series. The staff was very friendly, and when I asked for a guestbook, they gave it to me right away, which was lovely. The food wasn’t anything special, but the main reason to visit is the experience of sitting in the same cafe as Bella and her dad in the movies. Overall, it’s a very pleasant spot and I’d recommend it to anyone following a Twilight themed tour.

My family recently visited Carver Cafe in Damascus, Oregon, to celebrate our daughter’s 16th birthday, and it was the perfect end to our Twilight-themed tour.
Even though their waitlist was nearly full when we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and managed to squeeze us on just in time. To top off their hospitality, they even honored our request for the special “Bella table” a detail that made my daughter’s day!
We ended up being the very last customers seated before the 2:00 PM closing time. Despite them preparing to close, the staff never once rushed us. They were welcoming, patient, and truly made our entire experience enjoyable, giving us time to soak up the atmosphere.
The food was absolutely amazing, and the vibe of the cafe is something we’ll never forget. Before leaving, we made sure to grab photos, buy a shirt, and sign the guest book to commemorate the trip.
If we ever find ourselves back in Oregon, we will definitely be returning for the food and the unique atmosphere.

A tip for future visitors: Make sure you get there early! Since they close at 2:00 PM, the waitlist can fill up quickly and stop accepting

Went to the cafe that was featured in Twilight on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food there as I find most film restaurants to be overhyped. The cobbler was absolutely delicious and the highlight of the meal for me. My partner got the Julia’s Chicken Fried Steak and they thought it was tender, crispy, and was well-seasoned. We’re originally from the South so that is high praise. The wait was a bit long, but totally worth it. If you’re a Twilight fan, this spot is a MUST-VISIT.

This was a very disappointing experience. There was no sign indicating whether guests should wait to be seated or seat themselves, and no one acknowledged us when we arrived. We stood near the entrance for a while, then sat at an empty table assuming it was self-seating. About five minutes later, a staff member informed us there was a waitlist—we had no issue with that and explained we simply didn’t know due to the lack of communication.

The website says reservations aren’t available, yet there is a waitlist upon arrival, which added to the confusion. The space is extremely small and very crowded, making it difficult to move around. Clear signage and a host at the front door would make a huge difference. While we were waiting, we saw multiple parties leave for the same reasons—no greeting, no signs, and no direction.

Aside from its Twilight association, there doesn’t seem to be much holding this place together, and it feels like it’s going downhill. After waiting 40 minutes, we left and went to Carver Hangar instead, where we were immediately greeted, seated, and had excellent service and food. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Yes, we were here because of Twilight lol. Go early! The inside is small (not in a bad way, but in a “we can only accommodate so many at one time, way). We went on a Thursday morning, arrived around 10 AM and there was a 30-45 minute wait. We were finishing up around noon and they were starting to turn people away due to wait times being so long and with them closing at 2 PM. Our server was great and the food was really great (I ordered cinnamon french toast and my boyfriend ordered an omelet. It was around $60.00). If you’re a Twilight fan, there is a guest book they pass around where you can sign and leave a little message! You won’t be the only person shaking your ketchup bottle, so don’t feel embarrassed lol.

Food was delicious! We are fans of “Twilight” who traveled to Oregon to visit the filming destinations. We were thrilled that not only was the cafe charming, but the staff were friendly and the food came out quickly. Make sure to sign the guest book if you’re there because you love the movie! We were so happy that they had the “garden burger” and “cobbler”. Tip for the movie buffs: The table as soon as you walk in on your right is where I’m pretty sure Bella and Charlie sat!

I have lived in the area for almost 5 years now and hadn’t stopped here. Stopped by on a Wednesday morning around 9:15 and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. For the hype, and because of twilight, we thought it might just be like any other breakfast spot. However, it was actually pretty delicious. Would definitely come back here 🙂

Very cool. Surprised my daughter and her girlfriend on the way to Portland with a brunch stop here. As big Twilight fans, they were shocked. I was VERY pleasantly surprised that the food was sooo good as well.
