I ordered the brisket with BBQ sauce and it was unbelievably tender — truly melt-in-your-mouth good. The twice baked potato was the perfect complement, rich and satisfying without being too heavy. The portions were generous, and every bite felt thoughtfully prepared.
What really tied the night together was the hospitality. Savannah took great care of us and struck that perfect balance of being attentive while still letting us enjoy the evening at our own pace. The Chocolate Walnut Brownie was the perfect snack on the rider home after the Bucks Game. Thank you Savannah for guiding us through our first Carson’s Experience.
Great food, great service, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit.
The food was outstanding. The Greek-style pork chops were the best I’ve ever had — incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The creamed spinach was spectacular and easily one of the best sides I’ve had anywhere. The steak was beautifully seasoned and prepared exactly right.
A special thank you to our server, Savanah, who made the entire experience even better. She was knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and truly elevated the evening.
It’s rare to find a place where both the kitchen and the staff operate at such a high level, but Carson’s absolutely delivers. This was a memorable dining experience and we will be back without hesitation. Highly recommend.
I visited earlier this year on 1/9 for a birthday gathering and again by myself on 12/20. On the afternoon of 12/20
The host scheduled during that time was not as cheery & pleasant with me as she was with others.
I watched her interactions with customers that came to the bar alone or with a couple and the experience was very different. I came in around 4:15pm. I walked in & stated I wanted to sit at the bar,she said ok then proceededs to scroll on the monitor infront of her.I then say you need reservations to be seated at the bar? The entire bar empty, she then says you’re good as long as you’re gone by 6pm. There’s no timeframe that I seen online but ok whatever I assumed again, maybe someone actually did reseve a bar seat.
I said yes that should be fine, she said ok you can sit anywhere on the end somewhere. Didn’t think it mattered but I did anyways. After 15 minutes seated a small booth became available, someone sitting alone had left.
I asked the bartender can I switch to the seat behind me & he said he would have to check the availability, all I heard was NO..loudly(from HOST),so I assumed someone reserved it and would be arriving soon. Ok np I thought. A couple arrived and was escorted by the HOST to the bar and she left them with the words enjoy. I’m an hour in at this point,in comes a lady and she was walked over to the bar by the host,I could hearing laughing & talking as they’re coming my way.
At that point I noticed everyone coming in after me was greeted properly and escorted to the bar. A guy shortly arrive and joined the lady besides me,walked over by the HOST of course. During my hour and 45 minutes I purchased 2 lemon drops & a Salmon Salad spending a total of $80. Before leaving I stopped into the restroom and once I neared the door she’s says have a great night,I didn’t say anything back, just exited.
As I’m walking to my car,I’m passing the booth that I asked to be switched to & no one still has yet to be seated there. She told me no because of what again and telling me bye was the most friendliest she was my entire visit with me. Treat others how you would like to be treated and treat everyone the same!!!! I’ve been many of times, normally in a group for a special occasion and had no issues whatsoever. But this time the experience was very different & uncomfortable, although it doesn’t speak for the entire establishment & staff, she is the first person you interact with when entering the building. If I was a first time customer, that day probably would have been my first and last day patronizing the place. I can spend less somewhere near and get an excellent experience from the door to the table or bar. The bartender was incredible and very attentive and I appreciated that much after feeling out of place at first.
I was hosting a couple customers on Feb 3 for dinner prior to Bucks vs Bulls game. We arrived at Carson’s around 5 to check in for our 5:30 reservation, which I set up several weeks in advance, and have a drink at the bar prior to dinner. However, I accidentally set up the reservation for March 3, not February 3. Ashley (Manager / hostess Extraordinaire) was so understanding and respectful to my dilemma, as the restaurant was completely booked with no tables available. Ashley asked me and my colleague to stand to the side as she had other customers to attend too, and to try to figure out an option for us. Ashley came up to us 5 – 10 minutes later and explained that unless there was a cancellation, unfortunately there was nothing she can do because the restaurant was completely booked. This was on me, it was totally my mistake. Since Carson’s is by far the best restaurant near Fiserv arena, they book up in advance, especially on game nights, hence why I set up reservations several weeks in advance. As we were getting ready to walk to another nearby restaurant, Ashley took a phone call, very fortunate for me as the guest on the line was calling to cxl their reservation. I do not know if Ashley or myself was more excited, as thanks to the guest calling to cxl their reservation, we now have a table!
Thanks to Ashley, we had an awesome dinner experience. I am personally so grateful for how Ashley respectfully handled the situation, and genuinely was empathetic and trying to help us resolve my mistake.
Lesson learned, I will absolutely double check the date and times for all my future reservations!
Thank you again Ashley and Carson’s, you have a loyal customer for life!!
The difficulty we experienced was with the host.
I made my reservation through the app connected to the restaurant’s website. When we arrived, we were taken to seats at the bar. Since I was dining with my daughter, I went back to the host and politely asked whether two-top reservations typically default to bar seating. She told me that I had booked the bar. I explained that I wouldn’t have intentionally selected that option if I had realized.
I then asked if there might be any way to wait for a table, even if it meant a bit of a delay. I was told the next availability would be around 10:00 PM. I said I understood it was a busy evening and that if nothing else was available, we would take the bar seats. The reply I received was, “Well, it is the night before Valentine’s Day,” and the tone felt condescending and dismissive. As if I did something personally to her.
What disappointed me most was not the lack of a table — I understand how busy holiday periods can be. I have worked in the service industry as server and a bartender in the past. It was the absence of empathy or any effort to accommodate to what I was asking. The interaction felt rushed, with short responses and a negative energy, as though my questions were an inconvenience. Having this happen while I was there with my daughter made it feel even more inappropriate and uncomfortable. I left feeling belittled rather than welcomed.
Again, the meal itself and the service from the bar staff were excellent, but the initial greeting set an unfortunate tone for the evening. A little kindness and understanding at the front desk would have made a big difference.
Had a great time with my girlfriend, however, we will not be coming back.
