Carson’s Corner instantly felt like a real neighborhood spot that’s doing things the right way. The thin-crust sausage pizza was legit; crisp, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The Italian Breaded Steak sandwich lived up to the reviews too. Solid food, cool owner, and definitely going into my regular rotation.

The atmosphere was centered around family from the moment the phone was answered. I informed them this is our first time ordering from Carson’s. The young man taking my order was so grateful and sweet. Upon pick up the staff interacted with me in conversation and were so pleasant! Then I assume the owner insisted on carrying my order to my car to make sure there weren’t any problems navigating the door and stairs. Now the food. Hubby had the steak sandwich. My husband absolutely does NOT share his food. He insisted I try the sandwich. It was wonderful! I will be ordering it next time. My son’s and I had pizza. The sausage was very very good! Then the crust. Upon opening the box I wasn’t sure the crust would be what I was looking for which, was a thin crispy crust. I was wrong. The hand rolled crust edge was so light and crispy. Then to my surprise the entire bottom crust was crispy! Totally fabulous! Can’t wait to have leftovers tomorrow for lunch. Great job Carson’s! We will be back for more.

The owner and his family are great people…real people who always have time for real talk. My wife and I love coming here. She gets the breaded steak…I’m a calzone guy. Probably the best part of living in Shorewood is walking over for some taste of home. We’re all southsiders….wouldn’t have it any other way.

Halloween tends to be one of the busiest nights for pizza joints so I called earlier in the afternoon asking if I could order now for an early evening pickup which they were accommodating to.
Ordered 2 medium pepperoni pizzas, added sausage to one and pineapple to the other. Side/appetizer of garlic bread ordered as well.
Extremely wild weather in the area today so I headed out early to avoid any potential traffic issues. Ended up arriving earlier than the scheduled pickup time so I just waited around the small dining area. Another customer came in and picked up his order. The lone employee was very pleasant, chatted with myself and the other customer before ringing him up. He said mine were in the oven still and was checking on them.
Once they were finished he brought them up front with my garlic bread and completed my transaction. I was in the car and on my way home about 5 minutes before my scheduled time so props on the timing.
Once home I opened the boxes up and was pleased with the looks and aroma coming from the boxes. Both pizzas were exactly as ordered and taste as good as they looked. I prefer a bit more pepperoni on my pizza but that’s not to say this amount was lacking, I just like a lot. The sausage had a good flavor and weren’t tiny little pieces, which is nice.
I’d have no issues ordering from them again and looking forward to trying other menu items next time.

Cool little hole-in-the-wall place! We heard about this place and had to try it out. We ordered a large pizza and picked it up. Everyone inside was extremely nice and had that home town cozy feel to it. Pizza was large, hot and tasted great. We’ll definitely be stopping in here again.

Met the owner and he was very pleasant and polite. He suggested the breaded steak sandwich and it was a very large sandwich and delicious too. I’d recommend it for sure. They have a small circular table that I asked to eat at and he was more than happy to have me eat my meal there.

Definitely an under-the-radar pizza joint in Shorewood, but worth the trip. Their pizza is excellent! We ordered a 14” thin crust pizza with sausage and green peppers and light cheese. The sausage was excellent in large chunks. Peppers were great too. Pizza came quick and we dined in their small dining area. Not too much to their dining area, but it works. They have a great menu of other items other than pizza and I look forward to trying some of them in the future. Looking forward to coming back again very soon. Highly recommended. Enjoy!
Tip: There is a sports bar attached next door and you can order their pizza from there too, as well as the dine-in area we ate in within their restaurant.

As soon as I had my first bite, I knew this was someone from the Southside of Chicago who knew what they were doing. I don’t know how it took me so long to find this place, but I’ll never order from anywhere else again! (Hoping for Italian Beef one day!)

I tried this place because I heard they had a good breaded steak sandwich. This place is nothing special from the outside or inside. It’s a to go place only. But the breaded steak sandwich I tried was delicious and rivaled the Ricobene’s sandwich in taste and size and for under ten dollars you can’t beat it! The size was a little bigger than a regular sandwich from Ricobene’s. The one thing I would suggest to the owners is to wrap the sandwich in foil and not just wax paper, to help keep the sandwich warm until you get it home. Otherwise if you don’t feel like driving to the Southside for Ricobene’s this place is a great alternative!
