Carrot & Daikon Banh Mi is a veteran-owned chain specializing in delicious banh mi. This humble spot opened my eyes to just how good Banh Mi bread and flavors can be.

THE BANH MI
The fresh-baked bread is the foundation with a buttery soft interior and a very crunchy, flaky shell.

The Fillings: Each sandwich is loaded with thick grated carrot and daikon, large slices of cucumber, jalapeño, and creamy mayo.

/ The Proteins: Both the Grilled Chicken ($6.99) and Crispy Pork Belly ($8.59) were outstanding.

⭐️ Standout: A special callout for the Grilled Chicken, which was juicy and well-flavored.

SERVICE & LOGISTICS
Note that the Century/Euclid location is designed mainly for takeout (there are only a few small tables outside). The service has a decent pace, with the team moving quickly to take orders and dole out fresh sandwiches.

OVERALL
An excellent shop to grab a fresh, high-quality banh mi at a great value. Perfect for a quick lunch or a snack.

Really enjoyed the Crispy pork spring rolls ($6.99) and chicken curry soup ($10.99, which comes with one baguette like bread). We got these items because the bread machine was broken but im actually not mad at all for this mishap because it let us discover these items that we otherwise would not have tried. The chicken curry has a lot of meat and is kinda spicy. The bread is very soft and tastes faintly of butter. Recommend any day.

Grilled Pork Banh Mi w/ Vietnamese Ice Coffee

They don’t skimp on the meat and veg. Meat was juicy and flavorful. Bread crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. Banh Mi are bigger than most other shops. Great Value compared to others. Ice Coffee was bold, sweet, and strong. Would definitely come back for sure!

Great, easy fast food. I think their Banh mi is better than Lee’s and my go to is the chicken curry. It’s a very generous portion, but it’s a bit spicy. My favorite sandwich is the pork belly. I also enjoy the spring rolls with shrimp and char sui. It’s usually very quick there- the ladies that make the food in the back are great. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been coming to Carrot & Daikon for a while now and it’s easily my favorite bánh mì spot in town. The bread has that perfect crackly crust, and the fillings always taste fresh and balanced. My top two are the crispy pork belly and the grilled pork. The pork belly has that great crunch with just enough richness, and the grilled pork is savory and packed with flavor. Both are solid every single time.

I also love stopping by in the morning for their Vietnamese coffee. It’s strong, bold, and exactly what I need to start the day. Pair it with the egg and spam sandwich and you’re set. It’s simple but so satisfying.

If you’re craving a real deal bánh mì, this is the place. Everything tastes authentic and made with care. Come here asap. Best bánh mì in town.

A small bahn mi sandwich shop in Garden Grove. Referred by a Viet friend. Massive selection of sandwiches. Chose the beef fillet. Lots of fresh ingredients, generous portion size, tasty sauce and veggies. Loved it. A few tables outside for seating. Very reasonable price and great value. Much better than going to subway. Highly recommended.

A franchise banh mi that does not disappoint. The raving reviews is legit. The bread is soft with a nice balanced crunch. The filling is generous and seasoned well. Ordered the tofu and taramind fish. Sooo good!
Please open a location in the 626 and please plesse dont sacriface quality and taste with the business expansion.

This place is an absolute gem. Easily the best banh mi I have ever had, and it is because it is their specialty and they have perfected it. Any banh mi they have is delicious, perfectly seasoned, the vegetables wonderfully compliment the meat, and the bread is outstanding. The prices are super affordable and they even sell the bread in bags, $3 for fresh and $2 for a day old. There are just a couple of outdoor seats so people mainly order to go. If you are in the area this place is a must try. Definitely a fan favorite.

I have been looking for a great Vietnamese sandwiches that taste close to what I can get in VN. I came across this place. Why not 5 star? Lack of taste and freshness one can feel when biting into a sandwich. I ordered the roasted pork. The meat was not juicy and the bread was ok. The sandwich lacks the wow factor. You do get a pretty big sandwich for your money. I’m in the middle for this not bad but not excellent neither. Try it for yourself because others think differently on here is how I got there.
