Edward was my server today. I was having a horrible day. Edward made my experience so much better than I had been having. Edward had great recommendations on the menu. I had the Scampi for an appetizer, blackberry Sangria was soo good that he recommended. I had the filet with the Bryan topping which was amazing. My sides were Cesar salad, grilled asparagus and fettuccine Alfredo. For dessert I had the Tiramisu which was Splendid. Thank you Edward for making my day and my 1st time Experience as a visitor to Austin a great one.

Carrabba’s truly outdid themselves with the Duckhorn Vineyards evening — it was an absolutely magnificent experience from start to finish. The wine pairings were thoughtfully curated, the food was perfectly executed, and the pacing of the evening allowed guests to fully enjoy and appreciate each course.

One of the best parts of the night was the $10 take-home entrée option, which offered a generous variety of choices. It was such a thoughtful and guest-friendly touch — incredible value and a perfect way to extend the experience beyond the event itself.

What truly elevated the night, though, was the outstanding care and attention from the front-of-house manager, Laura H. Laura went above and beyond to my table mate and I felt welcomed, comfortable, and well taken care of. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine passion for hospitality were evident throughout the evening. She seamlessly managed the event while still making time for personal touches that made the experience feel special and memorable.

Events like this are why Carrabba’s stands out — excellent food, great wine, and leadership that clearly cares about the guest experience. A huge thank-you to Laura H. and the entire team for creating such a wonderful night. I would absolutely attend another wine dinner here without hesitation.

I travel a lot, so I review a descent amount of restaurants. Please read for an honest review of the Carrabba’s in Austin:

Upon arrival I was greeted by host, and Informed her I would just be sitting at the bar, I travel normally alone so I normally just eat at the bar. Restaurant was probably 40% filled with tables, and only a couple who appeared to be finishing up their dinning experience.

I was greeted by the bartender, I ordered a water with lemon and was given a menu for which I quickly entered an appetizer of the Meatballs and Ricotta. The bartender happily took my initial order and went to the POS to ring it in. After which he continued to train the shadow he had. No water was brought. After about 3 to 4 minutes went by he came back over and stated that “the water should be brought out shortly”. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the bartender cant serve water.

Eventually my water with a lemon was brought out, I noticed while waiting for the water that the bartender was training a new girl, running the bar, the service bar (drinks for the tables) and it appeared he had his own section as well. So I do cut him some slack as he had his hands full but only had two tables and now me, plus the trainer so was no where near being in the weeds in my opinion.

A complimentary basket of bread with an olive oil dip was brought out, it was average bread. A nice crisp crust with a soft inner crumb. I had a few pieces and realized no setup, or cutlery and napkin, was given to me after I ordered the appetizer. At this point I had been ready to order my main entree the bartender had not stopped in to check, even though he was all over the bar multiple times. My appetizer came out, it was delicious. Perfect little start to the meal.

The Bartender finally stopped by and I was able to enter by entree of the Tuscan Chicken with a side of Asparagus, and a house salad to start. Still no silverware set up provided. I was also not given an option on the type of dressing I would like. Once my salad was brought out, it was not the traditional house salad i’m use to. It was honestly a ceasar salad without croutons and topped with olives and peperoncino slices. Still no silverware, and no bartender in sight.

I just kinda sat looking around for a while trying to make eye contact with any worker in the vicinity but really there was nobody around, even the host was out of sight. I finally was able to get a hold of the trainee and get a setup brought to me. She also refilled my water.

The salad was nothing to write home about, and honestly just didn’t want a caesar, so I only had a few bites. My main dish was brought out, it was an average looking piece of chicken breast with some seasonings and a good amount of asparagus. The chicken was cooked pretty well, a little more dry than I prefer but overall tasty. The asparagus was great, no complaints and had a nice balsamic drizzle on it, which I always think pairs well. Over all the main entree was good and did the job.

For the restaurant as a whole, I think the visit was an incredibly underwhelming and average experience for the level of service and food you get at these chain type places. Obvious room for improvements, mainly focused on service details, but the food did the job and if you don’t have better option this will be perfectly okay for a quick and easy sit down meal. Total cost was 33 dollars, with a 20% (because I believe no matter the service tip 20%) ended around 44 bucks with water an appetizer and an entree.

Attached is my “house salad”.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill on Research Boulevard in Austin recently catered an event for our company, and the experience exceeded expectations on every level.

The food was outstanding, fresh, well presented, and perfectly suited for a professional setting. Portions were generous, flavors were consistent across the spread, and everything arrived on time and ready to serve. Our team shared nothing but compliments throughout the event.

What truly set this experience apart was Alberto. His professionalism, organization, and attention to detail made the entire process seamless, from planning through execution. He communicated clearly, ensured every detail was handled, and delivered a level of service that reflected genuine pride in his work.

Alberto went above and beyond to ensure our event ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on our team instead of logistics. That level of reliability and care is invaluable when hosting a company event.

We would absolutely trust Carrabba’s with future corporate catering needs, and we highly recommend working with Alberto if you want a polished, stress free experience.

I was blown away by how enjoyable our lunch was here. I have low expectations for fast casual dining, but Carrabba’s really impressed me. Our server was friendly and proactive. The food tasted great. The dining room was at a conversational volume. The TVs were aimed at the bar, not the dining room. All five of us enjoyed the taste of the food, even the kids. I haven’t been to a Carrabba’s in 20 years, but we’ll be coming back to this restaurant soon. My favorite was the Sicilian soup, because it tasted exactly like my Sicilian Grandmother used to make it.

They Cater!!! I went to pick up large order, and I was greeted with kind people, who let me into their establishment, even though they weren’t opened. I can’t remember her name, but I could tell she was BOSS LADY!!

She was so kind but powerful! Like, handling business, but being kind enough to let me in, to use the restroom! There were 2 gentleman as well, busy, running around getting things done, and still provided kindness!

They had a timeframe for pickup, and they got in done in under that timeframe! Professional, and you already know their food is delicious!

Thank you guys!! -A forever customer, and Grubhub Driver

Ryan did a great job making it so my wife didn’t have to cook on Valentine’s Day. I ordered a couple days in advance and kitchen didn’t quite know what was going on. He pushed it through perfectly, and he demonstrated that he is far more capable than what this job would normally require if any of the Carabba managers are watching this. You need to promote this dude he’s a good egg and he represents your company well

Totally surprised by the food, service and atmosphere. Had only had take out previous to this visit. My aunt and I shared the surf and turf with a most tender filet and perfectly cooked shrimp over pasta Alfredo. The house salad was chilled and delicious. The complimentary bread with scrumptious herb and olive oil dipping sauce was additive. Our waiter was wonderful. Looking forward to return visits.
