And I am glad I did. I came across the restaurant via Facebook and recently they have been on my tiktok page. decided to come in today because I was on this side of town. It was empty (which I know won’t be like that for long so I am going to enjoy it) the bartender was nice, drinks were good. The deviled eggs with shrimp were a nice appetizer. And for the entree I got Lamb chops, vegetables and jollof rice. Shockingly it was really good. If you are looking for decent Afro Cuisine they did a great job. I would come back

I had a friends party here. The vibe, location, working with Marc Anthony the owner was great! I love the aesthetics. The drinks and food were amazing. Truly the only downside and one I hope they work on because I would love to see this business be a success is not enough servers, or skilled servers (but very sweet). It took way too long to get orders taken or received, maybe more people in kitchen. Everything was great, and as long as you are not in a hurry (at least on the Friday night we were there) you will enjoy yourself.

Really good food. I had blackened salmon and their deviled eggs with shrimp. Being from the Gulf it’s good to have good fish to come too. Also found out they are open till 2 on Friday and Saturdays. Kitchen stays open as well. And my bartender Tish was a great hostess.

My wife and I came here for her birthday dinner and we should’ve left right after walking in. We walked in and not a single person was dining, this was a Friday night so this was the first red flag. There was no ac, no one greeting us, the workers that were there just stared at us as they sat. We decided to walk out and go find something else. As we were, a worker stopped us and insisted they had good food to eat and that they’d love to serve us. Feeling uncomfortable we ended up staying. Our server was very sweet, we ordered our food. Our food took a long time, finally came out and it was very average. My wife’s salmon was just okay and my meal was not as I expected. During eating we were getting hotter as there was NO AC. And they turned the lights off, music up so loud we couldn’t even speak, and it became a club atmosphere. No drinks and food was $80. Absolutely ridiculous to charge so much, care so little, and be so uncomfortable in this hot environment. I regret staying and don’t recommend anyone ever coming here unless you just want to drink in an empty restaurant.

Very very nice little bar! And $7 HAPPY HOUR!?! And the drinks are perfectly made by the sweetest bartenders… you really can’t beat it! I will try the good on my next visit and return with my findings… but for now, you can’t pass up this little gem. The decor is really intriguing… I love the wall paper. Most certainly a nice place for small or large gatherings!

I visited this establishment on Saturday and was significantly disappointed with the overall experience. The service was inadequate, and at one point there appeared to be no kitchen staff available to prepare food. I also overheard a server inform the bartender that management was attempting to avoid both a health inspection and the tax controller.
It is troubling that the owners seem more focused on unnecessary promotional activities than on maintaining proper regulatory compliance, supporting their staff, or ensuring the quality of their food and service. If these issues are not addressed promptly, I am uncertain how long the establishment will be able to continue operating.

This was a great experience. The bartender was new but very nice and his drinks were so good and a good amount of liquor. The chef was great and came and talked to us to food was fresh and he was nice and sweet. We came across this place walking and prob one of the best places we came to dallas so far.

Only two items available on the menu and they were both disgusting. Chicken was fried in old grease and extremely salty. We couldn’t even eat it. The catfish tasted like it was beyond expiration or not properly thawed or stored. We were the only customers in the place and it took over 30 minutes to receive our drinks. Ordered a drink with coke and the coke was extremely flat and sugary. We also heard the employees arguing in the kitchen while preparing our food. After we expressed disdain in the meal, the chef came out and begrudgingly offered apologies, but he didn’t seem to care that the food was DISGUSTING. Even the frozen fries were bad, they were cooked in old grease as well.
Now that I think about it, I’m not sure why it took so long when no one was there. It could be because the employees were eating and drinking on the job as well, just a thought.

Also, please note that your speaker(s) are not setup correctly. They should be in the back to amplify and provide more of a surround sound. They currently only direct music to one area, and it’s deafening if sitting in the elevated section of the restaurant.

Was here once before and it was a good time. On Valentine’s Day we waited 25 minutes before the waitress made it to our table to take our order…… then waited almost 1hour 45 minutes for food that never came. We finally got up and left. We would have left earlier but nearby restaurants were booked. My man tipped the waitress for our drinks but I was mad as hell because we waited hella long for those too. She didn’t deserve a tip. I would not recommended this place to anyone. Great music though.
