This place is absolutely top notch. We used Carpe for our wedding. At the tasting Kelli was super friendly and gave us a lot of choices to try so we could make our decision. We chose a wedding cake and cupcakes. Kelli came to the venue herself before the wedding and set everything up. She not only makes amazing cakes and cupcakes, but the presentation was phenomenal. Great music! Fantastic desserts! Friendly service. I felt so at peace sitting and working on my laptop. The sweet smell of desserts it lovely. They also have ice cream. Great coffee, too. I had the best Key Lime pie and a Caramel Cheesecake bite. There are lots of tables and a couch. The bathroom was clean. Homemade sourdough bread and special coffees in bags for sell.

Spectacular! I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful this bakery is! Walking in, you feel immediately welcomed. There are cupcakes, muffins, cookies, cakes, and a ton of other fantastic treats. They also serve some tasty coffee options as well! I felt at home, and will definitely be coming back as often as I can!

My anniversary cake was not only beautiful but very delicious. We could taste the love through each bite. I’m so grateful because I forgot to pick up my cake and she still allowed me to come after hours to pick it up. I do apologize for not asking her name, but she was the sweetest ever! Carpe Crustum Bakery never disappoints! The service is always amazing—so kind and helpful—and I love that they offer delicious gluten-free options. I always stop by for a little guilty pleasure cupcake, but this time I ordered a custom cake for an employee’s birthday and she was absolutely blown away! It was stunning, perfectly detailed, and tasted just as good as it looked. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Absolutely AMAZING! Carpe Crustum is hands-down the best bakery in the Charlotte area. They have made several cakes for our family, and the latest cake was for our 20th vow renewal (the pictures speak louder than words). I cannot recommend them enough. If you are anywhere near the area, stop by! The strawberry tiramisu is quite possibly the best dessert on the planet!

I used Carpe Crustum Bakery to create my niece’s birthday cake. She wanted a Barbie doll cake and they exceeded my expectations!! My niece”s only request was that it was pink and sparkly. The cake was beautiful and tasted as good as it looked. The chocolate cake was delicious and the buttercream was awesome, sweet but not overly sweet. Every inch of the cake glistened with sparkles. My niece and our other guests loved the cake and kept complimenting the taste and skill in decorating. Communication with the owner was excellent! I could not be more pleased and will happily share my stellar experience while encouraging everyone to support this awesome small business.

We ordered cupcakes for our wedding from them & they were delicious! Our guests raved about them and said it was hard to choose a favorite flavor because they were all so good! We’ve also gotten many pastries from them for our personal enjoyment & have yet to find one that isn’t super tasty. Highly recommend this bakery!

Carpe Crustum is such an amazing bakery and Kelli is fabulous to work with!! She made our wedding cake in May and both us and our guests were so impressed. It’s hard to find a cake that is equally beautiful and delicious and Kelli made it happen. Each layer was a different flavor and filling and each one was delicious! She did such an incredible job making our dream wedding cake come to life with all the details, colors, and decorations. We are so happy we found Kelli! Her pastries at the bakery are also so delicious! You can taste the quality. After traveling abroad I was a little spoiled on certain pastries thinking I wouldn’t find that quality in this area, but I was wrong. This place is truly a gem, I highly recommend!
