Carp Sushi & Bowl is a cozy, lovely restaurant with consistently delicious meals. All of the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully crafted with exceptional balance across the entire menu.

I personally love the nigiri combo, especially when paired with one of their fresh salads. If you have room, their ice cream is also a great way to finish the meal.

One of the best spots in Vancouver, great food and great staff.

The food was amazing. Great experience and the servers were nice. Price was reasonable. Yuki San, the owner came to our table and spoke to us – felt his warmth. Highly recommended! Love support small local family business!!!

Cozy unassuming place with great bowls, rolls and other delectable treats. From the carp bowl to come trio, every bite was delicious! We finished off our meal with two scoops of yuzu sorbet

First of all, the staff was so attentive and kind. They noticed that I dropped the chopsticks and brought me new ones right away.
As for the food, I tried the negi toro roll, but it was quite fishy and not to my taste. The gomae was a bit too sweet for me, though I did appreciate that it was made with kale instead of the usual spinach. On the plus side, the tuna bowl was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and well balanced. Overall a mixed experience, but the tuna bowl definitely stood out.
They have very limited sitting. Be prepared to take it to go.

Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen something, first. This place is absolutely delicious and a hidden gem in vancouver for sure. The flavor profile in this mans dishes is a genius. When I brought my entire family to eat there they all were very impressed. There were seats there right away, food was served very quickly, the prices were awsome, the atmosphere was so cool and the workers energy was awsome. I encourage everyone to try this place and please support our local gem because I know I will and drive the distance for this PHENOMENAL food.

Awesome neighbourhood spot. Always busy. Great food with lots of offers. I love the little space, but always get takeout. The lighting is nice but can get loud from chatting, but its a great vibe–I admire those atmospheres in eateries even if I cant stay in it. I get very nervous ordering in person from anxiety, but the staff is always kind and patient. Always a treat to have dinner here!

I rarely leave bad reviews especially for small businesses. Unfortunately, this one was quite a disappointing experience. I came across this place for the first time and thought it was a cute authentic sushi shop to support local. The friendly front staff recommended a tuna mayo roll when I asked for a non-spicy tuna roll. No mention of anything special about this roll so I just assumed it’s a tuna roll with regular mayo instead of spicy mayo. It turned out to be a canned tuna salad with cucumbers. I asked to switch to a roll with raw tuna because most people would assume the same. The staff told me I’d have to pay for something else if I don’t like this… and no refund.
The portions are quite tiny, presentation is also a bit messy – two rolls smaller than the size of one hand. The spicy salmon roll was very mid too. I would not recommend this place.

One of the best places in the mount pleasant area in Vancouver to get a spicy salmon poke bowl. The food was quite good overall! The spicy salmon bowl was delicious, it was fresh, vibrant and had a nice balance of spicy ness to it! The rice was really good tasting and proper.

I also ordered the Hawaiian Five sushi roll. It was good as well. I enjoyed the combination of the mango and tuna, it worked really well! The miso soup was actually also really tasty, not overly salty and was also good.

Overall I had a wonderful eating experience. The place is small and cozy and the staff were really amazing and friendly. I’d come back again and try out some other poke bowls. Solid 4/5 stars.

Carp is the bomb! fresh and authentic Japanese sushi, poke, and curry bowls at affordable prices – it’s a Vancouver special in the best way. Very small area for eating in (3 tables) but seemed busy with takeaway. Service was friendly and warm! Also check out the wacky cow soy sauce dispenser like excuse me

My first time here after constantly seeing lots of people walk into this place. I picked up one of the sashimi bowls and some spam musabis after a spin class nearby. It’s very hearty and pretty good! The fish is fresh and it’s way better than a commercialized poke bowl place. Service was super fast – only took 5 min to make my order and I was on my way. I will be ordering from here more often!
