Here for dinner and had one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. I got the Emilia’s Burrito and I have no regrets. Others on my table got the enchiladas and they really liked them. The complimentary chips and salsa at the beginning were great. I love the thinner type of chips and runnier type of salsa. This place was 100% worth it.
I also got fried ice cream and the sopapilla for dessert, which were tasty. At this point you’re thinking I’m a pig and maybe I am. Well when you have excellent food, you have to go all in.

I’ve been a weekly customer for almost a year. My favorite? The street tacos although the burritos and fajitas never disappoint either. What makes Caro’s stand out is more than the food, it’s the people. The owner and staff always greet me and make every visit feel like home. If you haven’t tried Caro’s yet, take it from me, you should!

And in a restaurant, the menu and the quality of the food is essential. Customers’ biggest complaints about restaurants tend to cluster around a few key areas that directly impact their experience. People evaluate based on multiple factors. But poor or disappointing food quality rises to the top of their complaints. Diners get impatient quickly. Disappointment includes food that’s bland/lacking flavor, over- or-under-seasoned, wrong texture (e.g., too chewy/oily), or simply not meeting expectations for what was ordered. In many reviews, poor food quality ranks high because diners often go out to “treat themselves.” So when things go wrong, they complain or never return, because subpar results feel like a direct letdown. NONE OF THESE FAULTS APPLY TO CARO’S MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN ALEXANDRIA.

We go here all the time and every time we go it is so delicious!! We have over 20 Mexican restaurants in Cenla and this is by far the best one!! This is authentic Mexican food, the rest of the places around here are more Tex-Mex! Everything you order at Caro’s is bursting with flavor. The service is quick and the workers are extremely nice. Caro’s will always be my first pick!!

I found this cute little place on Google and read the reviews and me and my family tired it. OMGosh. This place puts all the other Mexican restaurants to shame. The food, everything is authentic and it’s family owned. Everyone is so friendly and nice. If you want real Mexican cuisine, Caro’s is the place. ❤️ we ordered the Carne Asada, beef enchiladas, street tacos with chicken and pork, pork burrito and the chips are fresh as well as the salsa, guacamole, and queso. Caro’s is clean and has an “At home touch.” You feel like family. We will definitely be back.

Yes! This is the real deal! Traditional Mexican yummy food! I ordered the Combination Fajitas Shrimp/Chicken. The flavors were spot on! The rice, the beans, the veggies! All delicious! I paired my lunch with a large delicious orchata! As a side dish, I ordered yummy sweet plantains! It was perfection. It’s crazy how I found such a delicious Mexican food in the central Louisiana. Compliments to the cook from an avid traveler.

Our server was very polite, great to talk to and the food was amazing. This is coming from someone who doesn’t really eat Mexican food too often. Chicken and shrimp are seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. I had the fajita and my wife had a steak burrito.
