I pulled up as they were closing up shop and the person at the counter got out of the car, unlocked the door, and served me regardless. It was such a kind gesture! Came for a cinnamon roll, but apparently they’re just so good they were all sold out!! So instead I got the blueberry cake donut, and I would argue it rivals Banbury Cross. Love this place and will be going back!! Support local!

Deliciously affordable! I went into Carol’s today because I was already in SugarHouse and I have been wanting to try it after a stellar recommendation. It is in a small building behind a house and the girl at the register told me they have been at this location for 56 years! It has a vintage vibe inside and they have a very simple menu of eclairs, donuts, cookies, and turnovers. The mini eclairs are under $2 and they are DECADENT, and the macaroon brownies are also amazing.

Amazing pastry and very kind staff! We stumbled across this very quaint location whilst exploring the neighborhood. We had an éclaire (not pictured as it was sacrificed first), and the filling was perfect, not overly sweet as many others often are. The lemon bar was similar; not overly saccharine but flavorful and with excellent texture. What an excellent little spot!

A true gemstone hidden in an alley that you would never see unless you knew where and what you were looking for. My dad read an article in the newspaper about 4 years ago about the brothers that have owned and run this little pastry shop from the beginning of time (I’m sorry I can’t remember) but I think the article said something about fruitcake and he sent me to buy a loaf and now it’s a thing. My dad lives in California and it isn’t cheap to send it to him but he did pay for it. They also have the BEST eclairs! I bought 2 of the large ones and they were soooo good but a little too much for me. Next time I will buy the small ones! This little shop is a treasure. One of the brothers has passed but the other one is still kicking. I highly recommend you check out this little bakery. I’ve gotta go get me some more eclairs!

They have super affordable prices a lot of memories at this place. They have early 1900s car NOT FOR SALE trust me I asked.
I took the 20 minute drive and it was all worth it!

What a quaint little hidden Utah gem. Best eclairs I’ve ever had PLUS sugar cookies that melt in your mouth. Even more remarkable that two brothers, in their late 80s/early 90s continue to run and operate it. Very hands on and friendly. I love the alley atmosphere

Carol’s Pastry Shop makes the BEST chocolate eclairs! The custard filling is delicious, and there’s a great quantity within each shoe. The chocolate is thick and yummy, not at all waxy. The pastries are very well priced too. I highly recommend the eclairs!
