Got to the car. They forgot my drinks, so I had to go back in to obtain, reason for 4 stars on service.
Got home with food….disappointed. Overcooked, over seasoned, way too salty to eat without dowsing in ranch! Maybe ask for some chicken with lemon pepper next time. Ugh! Never good for take out is my experience. Not happy after tipping $5 on ToGo order!!
Atmosphere
The first thing we noticed upon entering was the temperature—it was uncomfortably cold. While we understand it had been in the triple digits the weekend before, the inside felt more like a walk-in cooler. There was also an odd, unpleasant odor that we couldn’t quite place. The booth seating felt more like something from a school bus—tight and not particularly comfortable.
Service
Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and she promptly placed the child’s order while the rest of us took time to decide. However, there was a noticeable delay in receiving our drinks. Our food was brought out by another staff member, not our server.
Food
We ordered a sampler that didn’t feel very balanced: two chicken tenders, four small mushrooms, a large pile of fried pickles, and an even larger heap of chips.
I ordered mild wings and specifically asked for no heat. The portion was decent, but the seasoning definitely had a kick—not what I requested. Even my husband, who enjoys spicy food, agreed the flavor wasn’t right. When we brought it up, the waitress responded awkwardly without offering a real solution.
My husband ordered the chicken melt, which was just okay. Our friend had the catfish with a side salad—the fish portion was disappointingly small, and the salad was more than 75% just lettuce.
Although our server checked in on us regularly, she never cleared the table of empty plates or bowls—from the appetizer all the way through to when we asked for the check.
Final Thoughts
I’ve been around long enough to have seen the good and the bad in food service. Dining out is a treat, and with today’s prices, I expect quality and attentiveness. I work hard for my money, and I don’t have time to give places second chances. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
The food somehow matched the service. Everything arrived lukewarm, bland, and suspiciously rushed, like it had been sitting around waiting for a reason to be served. Flavors were nonexistent, presentation was careless, and for the price, it felt almost insulting. I’ve had better meals from places that don’t even pretend to be restaurants.
To top it off, mistakes were made with the order, and instead of fixing them, the staff acted annoyed that we pointed it out. No apology, no urgency — just indifference.
If you’re looking for a place that tests your patience and makes you regret eating out, this is it. Otherwise, save your money and your time. There are far better options literally anywhere else.
