I’ve seen some of the posts on here about this place. Some seem personal. How do you know the Chef makes 13 an hour? Anyway, I’m so happy to see a place carrying a load of big tiger shrimp. I’ve lived in Greenville since 95 and no restaurant offers this type of plate. It was so good. Reminds me of the restaurants up north. We tried the NC oysters and the Connecticut oysters. It was delicious. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The sauce was perfect. I highly recommend this place. The place has a nice vibe.

Had such an amazing dining experience at Carolina Oyster House! I have some dietary restrictions and after asking for just a side of grilled shrimp and a side of the seasonal vegetable this is what the chef created for me! I was truly taken back that he took the time to create something special for me rather than getting annoyed that I didn’t order one of the dishes on the menu or just putting the sides in 2 bowls like other restaurants do. Everything was amazing and the staff are so professional. This made my night and truly was a great dining experience. Thank you!!

The atmosphere is very nice and the decor is on point for an oyster bar. The wait staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is excellent. The only thing that keeps me from a five star review is the fact that they are still ironing out some kinks in communication between the wait staff and the kitchen. It’s all minor inconveniences but on a 90$ ticket it’s enough. I feel like given a little work and some time they will overcome these issues. I’m more than willing to return and recommend others to check them out… This was the second visit and like I said great wait staff and excellent food both times.

Service was mediocre. Food was mediocre. Bland..they can put a plate in the window…but not create a plate you want to tell your friends about. Prices are reasonable. Shrimp and grits were disappointing. Fried Mac was beautiful but bland.

Super friendly staff but not sold on the food. Oysters are amazing but will have to shuck them yourself at the table with a butter knife but this was easy. We ordered them medium. Cocktail sauce is served cold. The shrimp didn’t peel good and had the heads on still. They had a good flavor. Currently I know of better oyster bars locally so probably will not eat here again.

We were nicely greeted upon entering. We were seated quickly. The inside was nice. We ordered drinks and they were very good. We had the chopped salad with chicken and it was excellent. We ordered linguine with the scallops and I must say it was the best pasta dish I’ve had in a very long time and I eat a lot of pasta! We had a very friendly and attentive server. Every time a server walked by they asked how we were doing. There were only 5 other people in the place. I can’t figure it out! This food was awesome!!! You need to try it. We can’t wait to go back.

Cute atmosphere with beautiful homemade seating. Oysters are fresh. Quick food & great service. Everything was very flavorful & the portions were wonderful. They had wine on special for only $6 a glass and it was a healthy pour. The Chef came out to ask us about our experience. It’s clear they really care. Go there- you won’t be disappointed.

I really loved the atmosphere and the staff were very engaging and friendly. Unfortunately, I have to rate the food and it was not what I expected for an oyster house. The oysters were very small, a couple were the size of a quarter. I’ve never had any served to me that small. The other apps we tried were undercooked. The main dishes were just, okay. Maybe it was a bad day, but for the price… not what I expected.

I don’t normally do reviews, but this place warrants an exception. If you are looking for quality, well put together food/recipes… then you must come try this place. Talking with the chef you definitely get a sense that not only is he good at what he does, he enjoys it. And that shines through in his dishes.
I’m picky about crab cakes, and these were by far some of the best I’ve had. The steak was impeccable. The chocolate cheesecake was sinful. We ordered about 9 different dishes and not one of them disappointed. We drove almost an hour and a half to try this restaurant and I’m here to tell you, we will definitely be making that drive on a regular basis.
Do yourself a favor, and show some patronage to this newer establishment.
