Had lunch with a group, very noisy couldn’t hear anyone talk we all had to speak really loud. Ordered sandhillcobb salad, it was ok, I was expecting the salmon to be warm it was cold, and i didn’t get avacado. Wine wasn’t anything special and ordered the key lime dessert. It looked impressive mostly, whipped eggwhites, 6 uncharted high. Got it to go didn’t fit in box, so i had to break it up so it would fit, which looked terrible. Good thing i wasn’t getting it for someone. Once home I tried it, egg white did taste like Melinda like keylime, I don’t know what the crust was but it was very hard, filling wasnt any better. Then the bill came i couldn’t believe it. Your paying for the name not the food.

Amazing food! Definitely come here for breakfast. They have a live piano player and a vast selection of items. From seeet and savory to lunch.
For dinner definitely get the charcuterie board

They have buffet style and omelette bar with everything you can imagine for breakfast. Food was delicious and the waitress was really great; very accommodating. Average paying $35 per a person. As I was leaving, there was a pianist playing.

Made our Valentine’s Day very pleasant. The steak was flavorful and tender, and the dessert was beautiful. Service was excellent. Thank you!

Hi – great atmosphere for breakfast and dinner, and the staff are extremely nice when we entered, friendly serving staff including the team that served us water and coffee – they provide friendly and efficient service.
For breakfast – a lot of fresh options, about 3 aisles of them to select from. I understand a buffet the food is prepared in advance but as far as buffets go. this is ok. Dishes included scrambled eggs (probably cooked too long), different meats, pancakes, hash browns etc, and also, from yogurt, fruits , breads, muffins, and freshly made to order omlettes.
Dinner was just ok – I had the braised short rib and found it could have benefitted from a longer cooking time to heat it up more, and the portion was sufficient (not too filling) but think it should have been 2 pieces of braised short rib (not just 1). I had the key lime pie and I am a key lime pie conessieur – so my comments are probably excessive! So this pie looked great, but the taste was below average – sorry to say. It lacked some ‘tartness’ and the crust was too hard and thick. When I say hard it was too thick I had to use a lot of force to break off a piece as pie crust should not be that difficult to break but I think it was because it had to be thick on the edge, to hold up the meringue. (too much theatrics and not enough effort on the flavour)

After a great round, we stopped in for dinner and were impressed from start to finish. The service was attentive and and the meal was excellent. The atmosphere made it the ideal way to end the day on the course. Already looking forward to returning.

Oh my! The most delicious breakfast buffet! My daughter and I recently stayed at Pinehurst for a mother/daughter weekend and this breakfast buffet was a highlight of our time there. Try everything!!!

Wouldn’t call it fine dining. I’d call it old-and-slow style dining, long wait in between courses, understaffed, unimpressive food.

Be sure to request front dining room. We were directed to a front room table and for some odd reason we were asked to move to the back room. We were well dressed, respectful and polite. Service was friendly but slow. We asked around afterwards at the Holly Inn and they said sometimes members pressure the staff at the Carolina to seat guests in the back. Will not be returning to a place where we are neither respected nor welcome. Left a bad taste in our mouth after spending so much time and resources at the resort.
