I highly recommend Carolina Crab House! We celebrated my sister’s birthday! It was my first time and won’t be my last! The food was DELICIOUS! In my opinion for the price you get a lot of food. The food is well seasoned, the quality is good and the service was good as well. I highly recommend them! Definitely stop by if you want a seafood boil!

Ordered low country boil, seafood feast platter, chicken wings, and dessert. The food was great. Seafood feast platter can easily feed five adults and is best for the price. The server Stacy S was great. Definitely will be back again. Our family of five enjoyed every bit of it.

Let me begin by saying our service was GREAT! Our waiter was very polite and attentive. Our appetizer of fried shrimp was a little over seasoned but not too bad. Our seafood boil was delicious. Only bad thing about it was the shrimp was way over cooked. All in all it was well worth the money.

WOW, I had read a few mixed reviews and wasnt sure what to expect. Arrived around 6pm on a saturday and there was still a few open tables in this large restaraunt, We were seated immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We asked for the build your own family style platter and chose 3lbs Snow Crab, 2lbs large Shrimp, 1/4lbs sausage which came with plenty of potato and corn on the cob mixed in. You get to choose the sauce/seasoning options and so we chose the garlic butter with mild spice option…flavor and quality was absolutely great. Yes we wore bibs and yes we got a bit messy, but we all smiled our way to the platter bottom, had just a bit of leftovers too! If you love crab and shrimp and garlic butter and arent afraid to get your fingers dirty…this is a must try!

On 2/23/2026, I went in person to order the low country boil mild Cajun and garlic butter. I specifically stated that I DO NOT want brown sugar or any sugar added to the boil. I was assured by the young lady who took my order that NO SUGAR will be added. Well when I got home and tasted the food SUGAR was added anyway. This message is to the restaurant as I don’t know why you add sugar to a country boil. I am used to the way they make it in Atlanta at Juicy Crab and they don’t put sugar in it at all. I am very upset because I ordered this in person instead of online to make sure SUGAR would not be added but you added it anyway. My meal is ruined and I will never order from the Carolina Crab off located in the shopping that has TJMAX and Home Goods off of College Rd in Wilmington, NC ever again. I am so disappointed. I called the restaurant to let them know and did not receive any help.

We tried Carolina Crab House for the first time and we’re so glad we did! The restaurant is quite spacious and even though it was really busy the service was excellent. We felt taken care of the entire time, which made the experience even better. We ordered the seafood feast platter and it was more than enough food for the four of us. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. It was the perfect seafood feast after a long beach day. When I’m in the area again, I will absolutely be back.

Natalie provided excellent service as a waitress. However, it is important to note that this establishment may not be suitable for families with children. Additionally, customers may find it puzzling that the price of juice exceeds that of a regular beverage. Furthermore, the fried calamari dish was priced $2 higher, yet unfortunately, it was overcooked and lacked flavor, making it a disappointing choice. Bathroom stals were pretty clean but sinks could use a little extra attention.

I rarely write reviews, but after giving Carolina Crab House more than one chance, I feel it’s important to share my experience. I ordered the seafood platter, which turned out to be extremely salty and practically inedible. When I politely mentioned this to the staff, the manager’s response was both dismissive and unhelpful. Rather than taking the platter back, offering a replacement, or at the very least acknowledging the issue, the only “solution” offered was to bring me some butter and a sugar substitute. That’s not a solution at all—it felt like they were brushing me off instead of taking customer care seriously.
This was actually my second bad experience here. The first time something similar happened, I thought maybe it was just a bad day or a one-time mistake. Unfortunately, this visit confirmed that it wasn’t just a fluke—it’s how they operate. The manager ignored us, showed no willingness to fix the situation, and made it clear that customer satisfaction isn’t a priority at this restaurant.
For the prices they charge, you would expect at least decent service and food prepared with care, but instead you get overpriced, poorly seasoned dishes and management that doesn’t care whether you leave happy or not. That combination makes it impossible to justify coming back.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are far better seafood restaurants in the area that value their customers and stand behind the quality of their food. Sadly, Carolina Crab House has proven twice now that they don’t.

I have been adverse to seafood but wanted to dive into trying something new to change my mind. This place did it! The snow crab&shrimp boil with their “House Sauce” made me a convert. 10/10 would recommend that sauce for anything. Got chicken strips and fries as well, just in case, and even those were a hit. Our server, Jas, was also very kind and bubbly having me lean into the fear. 10/10 would recommend!
