tl;dr: I ordered Birria, Tortas, and Steamed Taco on 10/3/2025 (Friday) through Seamless and was disappointed, disrespected, and will not be ordering from here again.
1a) The Birria ($22) having no broth and only being the meat itself raised enough questions for me to call and ask if the broth was just missing. Turns out, they don’t include broth for those? ♂️
1b) The baggies of additional ingredients were nice, though.
2a) The Tortas ($10) was a bit bigger than expected and inside foil by itself, so that was nice, but it wasn’t cut in half even though holding the whole thing up at once causes quite a number of insides to fall out.
It was good beyond that, though.
2b) Can’t say the same for the fries. These were sitting next to the foil-wrapped torta inside the foam food container and… didn’t quite look right. Their appearance and texture were that of an oddly moist, strangely (and yet not fully) cooked object resembling potatoe fries that could very well be a food prop. The more I thought about it the more I leaned away from the assumption that being inside a closed container for too long caused it. There was something wrong in the BoH that day.
They only seemed, tasted, and felt fine after I baked them in an oven long enough. But I’ve got frozen fries at home, so imagine my annoyance with having to do this.
3) The Steamed Taco ($6) was… the indicator of intent. They arrived as 3 stacked ontop of one another with the one on the very top looking like someone took a metal spatula and tore half of it up in anger. Check the photos for yourself, it’s the first time I’ve had something like this happen. Then again, if restaurants have their own grape vine, then it probably had something to do with my experience at a different Birria restaurant (3-word name; Gold Ave) on 9/22nd (Monday). An experience that only occurred when I arrived in-person to pickup my food instead of choosing delivery for the 4th time. I’m a dark-skinned Afro-American male, btw.

Conclusion:
Unless this is normal here, it was probably a racial issue again and there’s no telling what ‘extra ingredients’ they added to my order. What else is new?

We had brunch today. I had the menudo for the first time there. It was good. My preference is for the menudo to have lots of hominy and red chile, the tripe to be cut bite size, and NO cow foot. So, while it was different than what I prefer, I think if I order it the way I prefer it, it wouldn’t be a problem. It was absolutely fresh and steaming (best way to serve it). My husband had carnitas and they were delicious. The red salsa is . The service is good.

Our greeting was great. Ordered 1lb of tacos mixed. When we got it, was more like a 1/2 lb. Must of been weighing the plate as well. Because i refused to settle for that, i confronted the owner where he acknowledged it was less. We were ultimately served more but the waitress never went back to check on us. So much so, they merited no tip (sad to say as i was a server for 10 years). Food is great (emphasis added) but service sucked. A customer should not demand what he paid for. Perhaps ordering to go is the only way to go when ordering from this place.

We tried a pound of the mix which included carnitas, buche, cuero and costilla. It was very tasty although the cueros were a little too soft for our taste. The order came with tortillas and all the sides that are pictured. Overall it was good but, the restaurant itself wasn’t very clean and the service wasn’t great.

This is the restaurant that was on the news. A car ran right into it! Straight through to the bakery next door. My husband and I decided to go there to see how they were doing. The food was so delicious. They had everything set up to dine in, with help from people who donated tables because everything was ruined. We sat and talked with Saul and his daughters and grandchildren. What a beautiful family (familia)! We will definitely go back and visit. The Carnitas plate and the Taquitos with rice and beans were amazing. We also went next store and the bakery we bought yummy stuff there too! If you love Posole please go and try it out.

if i could give zero stars i would, they completely messed up our order, we got the food delivered through the website and we were missing 6 tacos, SIX???? really.. we called them back and said we were missing them, they said they would deliver the rest and it never came, we called again to get a refund but they were so rude they hung up on us mid conversation. you would think that people would care more about their customers since its a small owned business. this place is disgusting including the employees attitudes. yall need to do better…

My family and I were starving and visiting the city, we saw this place and decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did! This place has authentic carnitas, and they were so delicious… We ordered a pound of the mixed carnitas which had buche and cuerito as well. They quickly brought our meal out and it was heavenly. We all enjoyed sharing it and we were stuffed. We also ordered 2 chicharrón prensado vapor tacos and they were really good too, the chicharrón was super spicy though just fyi. 4 people ate with that meal and we paid $30, not bad. The staff was so friendly, it is a family owned and operated business and they did not disappoint!
