Early Saturday morning, I was not expecting this place to be packed. I was expecting a quiet early lunch with some delicious tacos and some chicharron. But this place was buzzing with activity. Many to-go orders and every table, albeit this is a very small space, filled with hungry and very happy customers.
The chicharron, sold by the pound, was very crispy and fatty. I tried only a small order (quarter of a pound) to sample but I will definitely have to buy a larger order. Intentionally bought most pieces with just the skin for its crackle but had a nice thin layer of fat that added tons of flavor. The full on chicharron with cuts of meat and fat was tasty but the skin was a bit tough to the tooth. Still very enjoyable.
Ordered an al-pastor taco and carne asada; staples in many taco stands. These were both packed with meat and very flavorful. There’s only one thing missing for me and that was the sweetness from usual grilled pineapple that’s in traditional al-pastor tacos. But it was still juicy and the tortillas was double stacked and warm and soft.
Worth a visit to this non-descript strip mall in Chicago Ridge.

The carnitas have really good flavor, but they were extremely greasy. It looked like the guy added all the grease while putting them in the tray. They could definitely drain out some of that extra lard before serving because it made the dish a bit too oily. Other than that, the taste was great — just way too much grease.

As a place of high demand right now they need better management to help with the getting people in and out as quick as possible . To top it off we were charge 20percent gratuity which I wouldn’t mind if they had great customer service but it was mediocre, it is not on the door , it is no on the menu . It is not visable until you go pay. They have a sign. $25 dollar tip for horrible customer
Service is insane . I would have tipped tops 15 percent . The lady with the glasses helping , was frustrated and in a horrible mood , answered me in a very ugly negative way ” yo solo Trabajo aqui” the cashier was giving change wrong while in line I witnessed 2 people return for correct change . Overall the food was great ! We loved it . But the atmosphere, and service is not worth my 1 hours drive . Do better carnitas Aguascalientes,

I saw the commercials on tick tock, thought it would be a nice place to visit, yes it was very busy in the morning, so I went back in the afternoon, I ordered a dozen tamales, in a small container of pico de gallo, that cost me $30, that’s insane, tamales were 2 days old, and same with the pico de gallo, still gave it a chance, got home tamales are just masa barely any meat, will never return.

My husband and I came for the chicharrones and guacamole but ended up trying several things. We wanted to go early for the freshest prospects so we called first to make sure everything was available. The gentlemen who answered the phone assured me that they had plenty and it was all fresh. His customer service was great over the phone and was even better in person. It’s a small, quint restaurant that offers homemade sauces, pic de gallo and delicious guacamole. My husband doesn’t eat guacamole or care at all for cilantro but he loved everything– which really shocked me. We purchased pork trotters (feet), braised pork, braised pork belly and the chicharrones as well as an array of delicious sauces. We also got corn and flour tortillas–so good.
We spent about $100 but we got so much delicious food.
So happy we found a place for our carnitas cravings– so good and staff was so welcoming and nice.

I heard about this little gem from a friend’s colleague. The carnitas here beat any place in Pilsen hands down. My family has enjoyed them so much that we’ve gone twice and picked up 7lbs so far. Let me tell ya about the bright red salsa…when it comes to sprinkling this lava hotness, less is perfect. Great balance of heat and flavor. The owner and his son are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. This is one restaurant that I will keep in my weekly dinner lineup. Absolutely fantastic. Almost forgot.. the tamales are bomb. Only tried their chicken and green sauce one and my 5 year old twins polished them off in a day.

I was extremely disappointed with both the food and the service. When our carnitas arrived, there was hair in the meat. This was completely unacceptable and made the food inedible for us.
When we brought it to the staff’s attention, there was no apology and no attempt to resolve the issue. Instead, we were told, “We serve the food with hair here because that’s how we do it. There is so much pork, we don’t have time to clean it.”
Not only was the food unhygienic, but the response showed a complete lack of professionalism and concern for customers. We left without eating and will not be returning.

This place is to tight and The Patitas de Puerco weren’t shaved and the presentation was poor. The carnitas were okay, but the server should’ve told us the pork wasn’t shaved before we ordered. We wouldn’t have bought it if we’d known. Won’t be back.
