Chill dockside spot offering seafood & pasta dishes, plus a kids’ menu, in fishing boat-themed digs.

Delicious food & excellent service. Server Delaney was very friendly and helpful! Food was quick and so good. It is right on the water, so the view is gorgeous. They stop serving breakfast at 12. All of the staff was nice & friendly and the whole place has an old school beach vibe. Great experience!

Was lucky to have a work event here and was treated to some of the best seafood in the area.
The crab cakes, the shrimp, and the scallops to start were phenomenal. Extremely fresh.
Everyone on my team enjoyed their meals and it was followed up with a great selection of pies. The coconut cream was out of this world.
Try the whole menu; you won’t be disappointed.

We were taken good care of by, Maddie. The restaurant and location are still so beautiful, it’s been a long while since I’ve been here. Traveling up the coast from the ferry.
The appetizer size crab cakes was what I feasted on for lunch… It also made for a great later on snack. My friend had the Haddock sandwich minus the bread.
I could simply sit in this restaurant for hours and watch the boats pass by

I am saddened to share that this experience dining at Carmen’s Seafood Restaurant was not as we hoped it would be. We always stay in Sea Isle for our family vacation. Exploring the beautiful island is one of our favorite things to do. We have seen Carmen’s Seafood and from the esthetic, it would be a great place to dine. We were pleased with the service from the start with free valet parking. Then, we were directed where to go so we could start our dining experience. The hostess guided us to our table right away. The menu was really intriguing and inviting with all the options and entrees offered. After we ordered with our friendly waitress, we were able to enjoy each other’s company for a short while. When our food made it to our table, it looked fabulous. Presentation was spot on with a light sprinkle of condiments. We were all pleased with the look of our platting and the timely response of our entrees. Little did we know at this point that all the excitement we had built up was about to be gone. From cold food to terrible tasting food. It was not good at all. Our teenage daughter ordered spaghetti and meatballs (a safe choice) but was disappointed with the over abundance of sauce that made it hard to enjoy the angel hair pasta. She stated that it tasted like canned sauce and was barely edible. My wife ordered the twin lobster tails. They were overcooked and rubbery. My mother in-law order the flounder but couldn’t tell if the fish was fresh due to the excessive amount of garlic that the flounder was floating in. I ordered the fried seafood platter, but the deviled clams were still frozen in the middle. For $180, it was not worth the price.

Went for breakfast and lunch, it was a good breakfast I got the BLT with egg. This item was over $18 and it was nothing special. For lunch I got the flounder sandwich it had a very good taste and the roll was great. In my opinion it could have more fish on it.
The service is excellent and I love sitting by the bay

First time here and we will never be back. It was horrible. We ordered the crab chowder which was just broth and crab no vegetables, we also ordered a wedge salad to split and we asked 2 x to come out with our soup not the entree. We order the fisherman’s fried seafood combo. So we waited and waited and finally the salad and entree came out together so I told her we didn’t want the salad it was supposed to be served before the entree. Started to eat and the inside of my seafood was cold! I saw our waitress and went over and told her and she said oh really and walked away. Never came over and took the food back. I had to go over to the counter to the lady in the pink sweater and tell her she came over and said she would get us a new one. In the mean time our waitress NEVER came back to the table.. no soda refills no acknowledgment at all. Also the people behind us were ordering the seafood combo also and were asked what sides they wanted we were never offered sides with our entree. The lady in the pink sweater got our new food which she said was new but it clearly was reheated good put under the broiler!! The piece of flounder was so dried out we couldn’t eat it. The one broiled clam in the shell was the same way but the crab cakes weren’t that hot at all. I asked about the sides and she said we did get sides but didn’t seemed concerned that her waitress hadn’t asked us about them. Our waitress never appeared at our table again we had to go up to the front for our check which was $76 for uneaten food. I will never go back there again. Just terrible and seemed like they didn’t care about how they treated us.

Simple unassuming dockside restaurant serving up some delicious seafood options. Carmen’s is a restaurant literally next to the dock where the kids could stare in wonderment at the many boats that were coming in and out. The restaurant itself is relatively plain and simple; wooden benches and wooden table fill the dining room (amazingly built by hand by Carmen himself) and ceiling fans fill the overhead area. There is no AC so it can get warm, but you don’t notice because of the freshness and flavors of your seafood. I got the deluxe a la Carmen platter and would go back and do it again immediately. So much delectable and fresh flavors and seafood all in one dish. It was fantastic. Everybody’s meals were great. Definitely a fantastic place for seafood and really great for those larger groups.

My family and I spent a few weeks at our beach house and on my father in laws birthday he wanted seafood. So we heard Carmen’s was up there in reputation. So we all went, made a reservation and away we went. Seating was good inside, however, there were so many people waiting outside that it made it uncomfortable. The menu was large, plenty of options, we all ordered our food and we were visited periodically throughout the night, but was often waiting for refills… when you have 5 children under 4 with you, not always ideal. Luckily, we were seated next to the kids play area. The appetizers were all excellent. But the main courses, were mediocre at best. Not very memorable. Truly was expecting much more.

Valet service and the view are nice touches, but it goes quickly downhill thereafter. Service was mediocre and the food quality was poor given the price point. Oysters had a very fishy taste like nothing I’ve ever had before, mussles in the white sauce tasted like water, the lobster was chewy like bubble gum. I saved the free world by not sharing photos of the restrooms, and they added a 5 percent charge for paying with a credit card. I’m not really familiar with Sea Isle City, but I would equate this place to a tourist trap. I’m sure you can do worse eating somewhere else, but this place certainly was not good.
