Walked in. Had never been here. I’m looking at the menu took not even a minute the lady asked for a second time what can I get you, and said never been here and she just said We sell tacos.. like saying what else can you possibly get. Get rid of that lady. Just rude. I just came here because I saw it on tiktok and had my daughter to play in the run down playground. Tacos were a 2 out of 10. Nothing special with no flavor. 100% I won’t come back. Doubt others will.. ladies cursing in the kitchen and some lady loudly on speaker phone on a table cursing as well, seemed to be the owner or a worker there too. It’s a nice concept with playground, but sadly a very bad experience.

Ever tasted . Definitely worth the $11. I decided to try them cause I have children so they can play while I eat. Saw them on TikTok and decided to drive 20mins to them and they did not disappoint. It was delicious.

The food here is good for the breakfast options, not so much for their afternoon food such as bistec.
The bistec tacos are also just okay, they aren’t bad mind you, but they are also nothing special they are okay. The frijoles charros are lacking ingredients it doesn’t have much in it, it could use some Winnie’s, bacon etc it’s just flavorless
Overall an okay place for tacos, the tacos are a bit small for the price.

I’ve gone there two times, and both time the food has been great. First time I got a Sincronizada the 2ne time I got regular tacos with white cheese. I’ve tried other places but this by far to me is the best. The food is great the prices are good. The service is good, beans could be better but it’s still ok.

We were excited to go try this out since I heard it has a playscape. We saw it on Facebook. Hours on the door say open until 10pm but apparently they close at 3. Seems like a terrible business plan since they have a play place for kids. Don’t know if I would want to waste my time.

My first time here and I find the tacos matamoros very good. I didn’t try a lot on the menu, so i can only speak from my purchases. The staff is friendly, and the service is good. The restaurant is very clean and spacious and has a kiddys’ play area. I do find however that it’s a bit pricey, other than that everything else was nice!

We missed the RGV, but we never hesitate to not come and get us some barbacoa at Carmelita’s. The food was hot and yummy. Their barbacoa brings family together. Love it!

Only thing I dislike is that they end breakfast at a certain time so you cannot order it after 1 or 2pm.

The food is very good. I love the tacos de guisados at morning.
My girls love the indoor playground which is hard to find here in McAllen. I would say is better for kids between 2-8 years old. Kids having fun and me having tacos is the best duo!
The principio de pozole is a perfect size for cravings. Also, the menudo on the weekends it’s very good too! For big eaters the taco pirata is amazing!
I took one star tho because the playground is dirty very often. I would try to pay more attention to that since germs are very easily spread with children.

Only reason I give it a 4 is because it doesn’t always have barbacoa and to have it on the menu means you will have it at all times. I love love the food here. Service is great and it’s so cozy!!!!
