Shortly after moving, they opened a restaurant where they served authentic Brooklyn style pizza. Now they’re bringing the same taste to Taylors with Carmela’s Pizzeria! Love this place! The food is awesome and you can tell everything is fresh and the bread and dough are made in house. I’ve had the pizzas, Stromboli, the fried pickles, mushrooms, and garlic knots and everything is on point. The owners are amazing. I go there more for them than I do the food. It’s just a husband and wife team and I would rather support them than some chain.

I felt like I was in Brooklyn tonight! The atmosphere the food the yelling in the kitchen! I had the spaghetti and meatballs and the marinara sauce was soooo good! The pizza was on point and we had the garlic knots and they were delicious! We will definitely be back!! I even had a shot with the chef Salute!!

Our favorite pizza place decided to become a Mexican restaurant so we checked out Carmela’s. The fried pickles are some of the best I’ve ever had and the pizza and Stromboli are excellent. The food is great but what makes this place special is the owners. Carmela and Cosimo are amazing people. They’re what make you want to support small business. They remember you. We’re usually there at a dead time but tonight I did a pickup and they were wide open. Both of them took time to talk with me and ask about my wife even though Cosimo was telling me to smack her lol. Just go there you’ll get it. Amazing food served by very special people. I wish them the best and will be a lifelong customer.

We had a Gabby Works pizza. Delicious. Crust was perfect. However the service was okay. Server was away and a guy filled in but he wasn’t prepared to take our order. Nice but a little disorganized. We came a Friday night and I think some guests were on their third or fourth beer and their talking volume was up. Also the music was a tad too loud which made it kind of hard to have a conversation. So here’s my suggestion, if you want a quiet date night, choose somewhere else. But if you’re okay with a loud casual (guy making the pizza was having a beer) atmosphere, this is your place…or take it to go.

Good pizza. Definitely has that thin light NY style crust. Topics, cheese, and sauce taste good! Price isn’t outrageous either. While the pizza is good and has become reliable the garlic knots can be hit or miss. Sometimes they are drab, other times too spicy, and sometimes soaked in garlic. It’s hit or miss.
