Extremely friendly staff, super open to modifications, amazing coffee, great food, the area is wonderful, the place is perfect for breakfast or grabbing a coffee with your friends, my only issue is it can be a lil noisy if you set next to the coffee making corner, other than that perfect!

Brunch was hit or miss. The French toast was amazing, but the omelette was very dry and the shakshuka was just okay. Wouldn’t recommend the avocado toast, the avocado didn’t seem fresh and the color was off. Phenomenal service, though, which really stood out.

Well, i was checking the best places for breakfast and someone recommended Carmel. I ordered shakshoka 8.5/10 and frenchtoast 10/10. The atmosphere is great the staff were welcoming and smiling all the time with good service. I would thank both of urwa and salma for their effort and service

We stopped by the coffee shop Carmel California and tried their coffee and tres leches cake. Both were just average—nothing special. The service could definitely be improved, as it felt a bit inattentive. The shop itself is quite small and gets very noisy, with tables placed too close to each other, making it hard to relax or have a conversation. Overall, it wasn’t an enjoyable experience, and I wouldn’t bother going back.

Carmel California in Maadi is a great morning spot, with a balcony view of trees that’s best in daylight—nice for a smoke. On Street 18, it serves fresh, tasty dishes. The Carmel Lentil Soup was warm, just a tad small. The California Salad popped with grilled chicken, guac, salsa, and tortilla bits on greens, looking and tasting great. The Fungi Pizza on a wooden board was cheesy and mushroom-heavy, but i asked for the dips and the waiter brought some right away The flat white was smooth, and the coffee cake on a floral plate was a creamy treat. All hot, fresh, and well-seasoned. The staff are hard workers providing the best service!

Pretty cool place in Maadi! The atmosphere is really chill (both indoors and outdoors). They have an elevator if you don’t wanna take the stairs.
The outdoor area is nicely painted. Lots of fans for the summer heat lol
The staff is very friendly and helpful! Never leaving empty plates/cups on your table (big plus for me).
The drinks were very refreshing. My only critique is that the truffle fries weren’t the absolute best but that’s just me nitpicking 🙂
Desserts looked very fresh!

I went again this year during a visit to Egypt and they didn’t disappoint except for one minor issue that was professionally addressed right away. Other than that, everything from the service to the food was amazing! And I must say, going 2 years apart, they still have the same consistency with their standards.

Such a pretty place and the vibe is very nice. But overall the food is quite average. I tried their breakfast and I found it okay but overpriced. And I also tried dining where I had pizza and pasta and the pizza was very mediocre and pasta didn’t have much shrimp. I would generally say their guacamole is good so order something that has it
