I’ve been to Carlyle’s multiple times now, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience. The ambience strikes a perfect balance: upscale diner vibes without any hint of pretension. It’s welcoming, stylish, and comfortable all at once.
On our most recent visit, I ordered the autumn pasta, one of their seasonal specials, and it was absolutely out of this world. The flavors were rich and balanced, and it featured some of the best goat cheese I’ve ever had anywhere. My wife went with a pasta dish from the regular menu, which was just as wonderful.
We also tried a couple of their seasonal cocktails, both delicious and reasonably priced. Even my son loved his meal, which says a lot.

We are not only never disappointed at the Carlyle Grill, we’re continually impressed by the food, atmosphere and service. Pictured is the baby back ribs, grilled chicken salad and blackened chicken pasta. All were exquisite. The pasta has the option to be gluten free, the sauce on the ribs is also GF and they have GF buns for burgers; items are clearly labeled. The complimentary bread is to die for and we got the house made chips & salsa as a starter; SERIOUSLY YUM. Our server Juan was fabulous and they were able to seat us (party of 10) with no wait on a very busy Thursday night without reservations. I also love their kids menu and the little drawing pads they give kids. This is our new family favorite staple in Ann Arbor. Check them out, you will not be dissapointed.

Loved this dinner spot in Ann Arbor. The menu has something for everyone. The chicken pasta was amazing!! The portion was enough for two to share after the appetizers. The spinach and artichoke dip came with a good amount of chips and dip. We were pleased with the service, atmosphere, and the portion sizes. Will definitely be back!

We recently dined at Carlyle Grill with a group of friends and honestly left pretty disappointed. I got the black and bleu burger, which sounded really good on the menu, but it was just okay. It was cooked fine, but it barely had any flavor or seasoning. The service didn’t help either. Our server wasn’t very friendly and didn’t seem too interested in being welcoming. A little more warmth and attention would’ve made a big difference. Overall, it was just kind of underwhelming, and we expected better.

Dinner on a Saturday night. Food was very good, serviced hot, but somewhat quicker than I expected. Still, not obviously reheated, so no complaints. Service was excellent…kudos to Brenden F. He was attentive without being intrusive, pleasant, responsive, and very efficient. Particularly appreciated that he checked on us after appropriate intervals to make sure we had everything we needed/wanted.

First time patrons. Made a reservation, and had to wait 15 minutes to be sat after reservation time. It’s a busy Saturday, so only a slight blunder. Our server Juan was very busy, yet was still on top of his customer service skill. He got the appetizer and food out quickly. Food and bread were incredible tasting. We spent almost two hours from start to finish which is a little longer than I was hoping, but I can’t be too upset being a last minute Saturday evening reservation.

After kayaking we just wanted a patio to get some good food and found this place. Absolutely delicious food here. The mac & cheese was so good and the salmon was yummmy. Also had a Caesar salad and that was good as well.

Went in around 230 to get lunch with the family. Decent amount of selection but would’ve rather had something on the specials board that we didn’t notice until after we got our food. The server we had and saw were nice but never mentioned anything about the specials menu board. The server took too long to check on us and they were not very busy. The chicken dish i had barely no chicken all vegetables. Looked like it was the pieces that are left over when you cut a breast up for cooking chunks. The sauce it was in was not flavorful and was watery. According to my wife the drinks were solid. This would be a decent spot if you like fine dining. It is expensive for the portions you get.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and seated by wonderful host staff. My server wasn’t bad by any means, but needs more experience or more training. I ordered the black and bleu burger. It lacked some seasoning (not salt), but was good. I’m not a big fry guy, but I must say, these shoestring French fries are awesome! The ambiance inside was perfect. Would definitely recommend.

This was my first going Carlyle Grill and I had a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Karly was our waitress. She was knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive to our table. She definitely made our experience worthwhile.
