Carlton’s is our home town walk in and order the best burgers, cheese burgers, hotdogs, slaw dogs, chili dogs, and chili cheese dogs. They have their own way of making their hamburger meat, and it’s delicious. They are a staple in Sylvester and have been in business for many years. If you’re ever in town, drop by and try a couple. Caution, though, they are addictive!!!

0/10 hamburgers, 6/10 sloppy joes. I gave this place a try while passing through Sylvester. First off it seemed like a popular stop for the locals. There was a line that moved really fast. They only accept cash here which seemed really odd. The ‘hamburgers’ my wife and I ordered were really cheap and after opening the wrapper we saw why. This thing bore only a passing resemblance to a hamburger with wet, soggy meat chunks labeled onto a bun. For a sloppy Joe it was ok but as a hamburger it was a failure. Don’t waste your money!!!

This family owned business has been my whole families favorite since my grandfather first took us there in the mid-80s. It’s still the same place the same atmosphere and it’s like walking into a blast from the past of my childhood. I love it every time i go there, and the food is always the same with no changes to its processing or recipe.

Nothing fancy here. They do have a scrambled ground beef hamburger that is certainly not your typical hamburger. It is quite tasty in spite of its difference. The hot dogs are quick and simple. They are tasty too. Don’t come here looking to pay with a debit card. Cash is king here. I would recommend it for a Saturday or lunch quick grab. Its good and it works. Do not be intimidated by long lines. Wait your turn and you will get your order super fast.

I grew up going to Carlton’s on the weekend with my mom and now I still enjoy a Carlton burger every once in awhile. Still a great place for a quick lunch or afternoon snack. If ever in the downtown area of Sylvester Georgia you should swing in and check them out.
