Here is another Spot my Childhood friend The Connoisseur For Local family owned Restaurants I say to him. He has been coming here for years and We got the VIP experience. I highly recommend Carls Restaurant for All family and friends to come to.

My family has eaten at Carl’s many times since the 1970’s. One of the old neighborhood’s favorites. Great they are still doing it right.
We had lunch specials on most recent visit. All delicious. Service was knowledgeable, attentive and fast.

I’ve driven by Carl’s for years and finally decided to try it. While well meaning, their pizza was not to my liking. I prefer a thin Neapolitan style pizza and their crust is more like cardboard. The toppings were okay and the sauce was quite bland. It’s a cute little restaurant but unfortunately there are so many better places to get pizza in Berkeley.

Carl’s has been here forever. I remember going as a kid nearly 35 years ago. That said I don’t think the place has changed any since then. My wife and I shared a large pizza. It was very good. Our server was great!

We had an 82 year old house guest I took to Carl’s for lunch. After a terrific meal (he had the soup of the day and I had a cheeseburger). I asked him; if I blindfolded him, told him I took him through a time machine and uncovered his eyes in Carl’s what would he think? Without hesitating he said he would believe me!
Carl’s has a great Italian food focused menu and the friendly service staff will make you feel like you’ve been whisked back in time to a place with good cooking at a great price will greet you at every visit.

My new favorite place on the planet!!!! It’s gonna be hard to beat it! Authentic, Delicious, Italian Street Pizza (my term. Not theirs). Amazing pizza options and fantastic Italian dinners. It’s not pretty, but it’s the real deal! Ya gotta go!

Just had a wonderful lunch with my boyfriend it’s been two years since we’ve been here and everything is just like it used to be. Amazing staff and Wonderful kitchen staff. Stephanie was our server and was nothing but kind, our pizza got burned and she told us it would be a bit longer since they were making a new one for us, the lady making our pizza also came out to apologize and said they didn’t want to give us anything but perfection. And when we finished our amazing meal, they said we wouldn’t have to pay, and apologized for the long wait. I really appreciate the kind gesture! I would have paid regardless if we had to wait a bit or not, but I have always loved coming here and will always talk highly of them, it’s an amazing place with amazing people working there! I just hope they all know how wonderful they make the experience <3

Great pizza and garlic cheese bread. It’s a classic pizza place. Crust isn’t thin or thick, just perfect with great integrity. The sausage is a must on the pizza. 10/10!
