Carls jr seems to have really gone down hill in the past few years. I ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich this evening and it was severely disappointing. The meal I ordered tonight was absolutely disgusting. The bun was flat and seemingly soaked in oil, the American cheese that was slapped onto the chicken tasted like salt, the chicken itself was probably microwaved, you get the picture. There’s no excuse for this. I couldn’t get past the first bite. Maybe its just this particular restaurant and not Carls Jr as a whole, but I won’t be ordering from there anymore.

Ordered chicken star meals for my kids and the stars were room temp warm (undercooked) and the fries were soggy and sticking together because they were underdone as well. My kids ate some of the stars because they were hungry but I had to take it back to get a refund especially for how much I paid for those meals. Terrible food and the Manager did give me a refund for just the chicken star combos which was annoying because I had to waste gas and time to drive back for something that was their fault. The Manager wasn’t nice about it and didn’t even apologize for the undercooked food just looked at me with a snobby attitude like I was in the wrong. Won’t come here again and now I know why the reviews are low. Don’t come here!!! Also they didn’t even give me a receipt the first time!

When did the breakfast burritos get so small‽ I haven’t been to Carl’s Jr in a while (or any fast food really because of the pandemic) so when I went to get a breakfast burrito on my way home today (too tired to cook) I noticed that they’re like half the size they used to be! I used to be able to get one of these and be absolutely stuffed- now I’m wondering how they justify charging over $6 for this tiny thing with 4-5 tiny bits of steak in it.
Don’t get me wrong, they’ve never been great. But when you want to grab something to eat when you’re too exhausted to cook, it used to be a fast and filling option.
Maybe they’ll get their act together and stop price gouging the ever living heck out of customers. Until then, it’s not worth it, and I won’t be back.
(My review does not reflect how I feel about the employees. I was served with a smile and none of this is their fault. I’m sure that if the company is being awful to customers, they’re treating their employees even worse.)
