I will start by noting that this was my first time visiting a Carls Jr in the United States. I went overseas, and I would say I had a better experience there.

First Pros
•They offer student, teacher, military, senior citizens, police, and firefighters discounts. Love that, they do a lot for our community/country!
• plenty of free parking
• plenty of space to sit
• frie zucchini
• The place was clean

Now the not so Good
• The bread on the jalapeño hamburger tasted old
•strawberry lemonade was $3.39 for a tiny cup, no, that matters when it only tastes like pink tap water.
• Somehow, I feel I had a kids’ meal instead of a regular meal.
• The taste of the food overall wasn’t good, and the quality was poor.

No, trying to be picky, but they could do better.

I came here for a lunch date with my daughter. The store was clean and the staff (Sarah) was AMAZING… She went above and beyond to make our day special while maintaining the same level of focus for every single Customer that came in (all by herself I might add)… 10 out of 10. Will ABSOLUTELY be coming here again soon! ❤️

It’s been over a year since I’ve come here and this is still the most incompetent staff EVER. This guy Adam(the name the ‘manager’ gave me) told me to wait when I pulled up but then said to pull forward and they’d take the food out to me.. obviously I hadn’t ordered so I figured he was talking to someone else. I waited a few minutes, said “hello?” A few times and he never responded. I thought ok I’ll just go inside I guess.
Tell me why when I walk inside, another car pulled up to the intercom and he took their order right away. Another car pulls up, he takes their order, while I’m still waiting IN THE LOBBY to order still. At this point it’s been about 10 minutes; Isn’t it supposed to be first come first serve with the acceptation of online orders?
I asked him why didn’t you take my order? He just says sorry we got swamped. I worked fast food when I was 16 and never had a hard time operating a headset even during a rush.
He finally takes my order and I ask how long will it take because I had my 91 year old grandmother waiting in my running car and I waited another 15 minutes for my food. So almost 30 minutes for three burgers and some drinks. While I was in the lobby, I could hear the orders coming through the intercom from the speakers in the kitchen so I know he heard me saying “hello?” And just ignored me for whatever reason. I asked Adam for clarification on why he told me to wait and then never took my order but then proceeded to take every other order from the other cars that pulled up. He gave me a sarcastic remark, and then stayed quiet when I asked for his name and his managers name.

I’m not sure how people have such a hard time with such a mundane job. Maybe you should try something a little easier??

Brought my sister here for both of us to try it. Server Sarah was super nice and got us a free drink! For the first time trying it they have really good chicken and fried. The service was great and so was the food. I will be coming back. Atmosphere was good, not a lot of people there very quite.

Edit: No one at Carls Jr. ended up helping me or calling me back. They just ghosted me.

On March 16, 2025 I went to Carls Jr on Eubank and was fed raw, pink chicken. I became violently ill for 9 days. I reached out to Carls Jr multiple times asking for help and was actively ignored. One employee told me she didn’t need to see the food and that she believed me because “they just hired several new employees who have not been properly trained on how to cook food.” Only after calling the NM Department of Health has Carls Jr reached out to me. They are offering me an apology via email and think this is sufficient after ruining my life for almost 2 weeks. My clothes are ruined, my sheets are ruined, I had to pay to see a doctor, I had to take time off of work, I haven’t been able to leave the house I’ve been so ill. I thought I was going to die. What if a senior or child ate this? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. NEVER EAT HERE.

The lady was nice. She did not speak English. I waited a long time from my food at least 10 minutes in the drive-through. Also I had a Coke that was flat so I gave it back to her and she gave me a new cup with the new drink, however, she rinse the cup out that was used and put it back in rotation. That is a big-time violation if I wouldn’t have already paid for my food, I would definitely have just drove off.

No one here. I’ve been going here for years. Service past year or so slowly declining. Had concerns no one responded when I called out. No noise in back. Almost thought I should call police in case something wrong here.

Really wish they would accept cash, how dumb. Literally the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard of. Cash is King. You’ll be out of business at this rate, your food is not that good, and overpriced, using deceptive practices with food prices too, huge $7.99 for what you think is a combo, since it shows the combo, and below in itty bitty teeny tiny letters, it says combo $15.99 . That is really frustrating. I went in to feed my workers, and was so excited to see the cheap prices, or should I say, reasonable prices, only to pay more than double what I was expecting, and then couldn’t use cash. I was like, how much worse can this place be, and then they messed up my simple order, ketchup and mustard only, and they put those nasty smelly bread and butter pickles under the meat, so I didn’t even know till I took a bite. I left very mad, feeling ripped off, and decided until they fix the cash situation I will be boycotting this store. Even then,if they don’t fix the deceptive pricing,I probably won’t be back either. Put the combo price in big bold numbers, and then put the sandwich price in small ones. The other people in line all agreed with me. I wound up not even eating my sandwich except the first nasty bite, because the pickle juice made it unbearable. I almost threw up on the tray and delivered it to the counter in protest.

Aurora and her entire crew are so hard working, genuinely happy and entertaining as well as accommodating and friendly. All of these qualities found in working class people, and so late in the evening of a long day, are saying very good things about these people. They are extremely rare and hard to find. Wow!
