Great time. Chips & salsa always great. That hot salsa, it bites back. Fish taco were pretty good.. I prefer a lighter batter. Chicken enchilada was enormous and delish. Service was great.

Love Mexican food? Then, I’d recommend going to Carlos O’Briens. They have a great Happy Hour drinks and food menu that is available 7 days a week. The strawberry margarita was delicious. The shredded beef chimichanga with red sauce was perfection, and I loved the flavorful Spanish rice and refried beans. My daughter and son-in-law raved about the mini carne asada street tacos and the “a little of everything plate”, both of which were from the Happy Hour menu.
From the restaurant’s cool atmosphere to the attentive and friendly service, and of course the amazing food and drinks, I’m definitely going to be a regular. I highly recommend making a reservation so you can avoid a wait during busy times. It seems I’m not the only one who lives this place!

Visited on Black Friday for lunch with brother and sister-in-law. It’s one of their favorites. I could see why; really nice facility, good menu, and reasonable prices. My burrito grande was good but not special. It was served maybe too simply, a big lump of white with no garnishes, sides, or hints of the goodness inside. I had to borrow some guacamole and sour cream from my wifes fajitas to up the flavor profile. The service was efficient and quick on arrival but lagged on check out. Had all the makings for a 5-star experience but just didn’t quite deliver (this time).

Mid-afternoon on a Friday, big restaurant so not crowded but had many tables of customers. It’s obviously a chain style place vs a famiky-ownes, but still had decent food. We had chimichanga that as very good. Service was pleasant also. I loved the outside of this place, inside was high ceiling ed and open, but there was a fly that would ot leave us alone. Seems like a good place for large groups

Their lunch specials can’t be beat. I ordered the lunch special “A” that is a cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco, rice and refried beans.
The cheese enchilada was great and very cheesy. My favorite, however, was the shredded beef taco. It was huge ( see pic) and loaded with beef and cheese.
Overall, the portions are huge. Great TexMex restaurant.

Service is fast and friendly. The lunch portions are generous compared to other mexican spots. They have a separate menu strictly dedicated to fast made food items. I have never seen that anywhere and it is genius. The house margarita is made with 100% agave and I’ve paid double elsewhere for watered down margaritas. Beware… they sneak up on you . A real customer leaving a real review for a real good experience. Carlos O’Brien’s has been a valley staple since I was a kid and my lunch experience today was proof they are still delivering the real deal. Repping our valley with an authentic experience

Food and service were great… Portions were HUGE. The mini flautas didn’t feel mini, and it comes with a generous scoop of guac. Then I ordered a chicken enchilada and it was so big I questioned whether they brought the right plate. Try the ranchero sauce! I’m looking to trying something new when I return.
My only complaint is that despite it being just me at the bar, they wouldn’t switch either tv to the world series game. It was either chive tv or a blowout football game.

Always one of my favorite spots when I am in Scottsdale. Been going to one of their locations or another for more than 40 years and every single visit has always been great food and great service! Get the Pollo Fundito!!!

Have the Molly Rita happy hour and the mini sampler delicious the street tacos were ok carnitas dry chicken better. Nice atmosphere haven’t been here since before the remodel. Good service chimmis the best!
