I’ve been here twice. The last time was one of the worst dining experience I’ve had. The restaurant was dirty and my date and I were sat back by the kitchen door. I’m a foodie and I cannot believe this passes for Italian in this city. The shrimp appetizer was tasteless and we almost left after that. We were told the spedini was the best around and, having had the popular spedini at the competitor I can tel you *it is not even close*! I’m sorry, this is not real italian, but a Midwest attempt at authenticity. Sadly, when it was at the original location in midtown, I found the food and atmosphere to be far superior. I will not go here again.

The food was excellent, far better than you’d expect in a strip mall. I ordered shrimp alfredo, and it was cooked exactly right with a wonderful mix of flavors. My wife and left very pleasantly surprised.

This place sucks. I could have gone to Fazolis and gotten faster and better food.
1. Waiter was terrible. Never got bread until our meal came (45 minutes later) and then no knife to cut bread or spread butter.
2. Food took nearly 45 minutes to reach our table. I ordered chicken fettuccine with peas and mushrooms. Food was warm but utterly lacked taste. The noodles were definitely from a box and under cooked. One would think that for a 45 minute wait, there should be fresh hand made noodles. The fet sauce was as bland as milk. The chicken didn’t even come in the bowl with the fet noodles and sauce. The waiter had to run back to the kitchen to get the chicken. Still had no knife to cut the chicken up.
Definitely will not be back at this place.

Perfect in every way! Love the “sugo” as they call it. It is the best Red Sauce ever! Reminds me of home. I am from Chicago and this is the first restaurant that has brought me back to that time. Will be coming back soon and often. 🙂
