if your looking for an old school texas ice house to sit back and forget the world for a few hours – then this local beer garden is for you. just a bunch of real people hanging out and enjoying each other. it’s a traditional ice house. plywood floors exposed ceiling g a few tvs a few pool tables. fry’s burger onion rings tater tots etc. most all food frozen prior to cooking. but pretty good (skip the onion rings). go enjoy and relax

First off, their online information states they offer open seating and dine-in service. I arrived and went up to the bar to order a simple burger and fries. I’m 19 and don’t drink, so when the man behind the counter asked if I was 21, that was understandable. However, he then told me I couldn’t be inside at all unless I was 21.
Nowhere on their Google profile does it mention being 21+ just to enter the establishment, especially if you’re only trying to order food. The burger itself was good, but I would’ve hoped for better service from the man—who I’m guessing is Carlos. So there I was, having to eat in my truck just because I wasn’t 21. The whole interaction definitely rubbed me the wrong way.
I may be mistaken, but based on my first experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Just came from a networking event At Carlos beer garden…. The atmosphere was great, The drinks were awesome and even indulged and a double hamburger, which I loved… Scott waited on us and did an excellent job! I will certainly be back

We stopped for our first try today and the food was fabulous! It’s nothing fancy, a small little ice house, little kitchen, good atmosphere and good food. The service was a little a slow at first, but there were 2 servers, and a pretty decent crowd, so they were doing the best they could. The only downside is smoking was allowed inside, which I didn’t love because there were no tables available near non smokers. We were kind of forced to sit behind a table of smokers, and it would have been nice if they could have been aware their smoke was blowing our way, but by the time it got super annoying, we were done. Try it out! They have lunch specials M-F.

Stopped in for lunch before work, great place! Multiple pool tables, ice cold beer and fresh air. Our bartender Kara was so friendly and we never had to wait for anything. Will definitely be back!

Just like the South Texas Icehouse beer gardens of times past is Carlo’s Beer garden. Cold beer, friendly waitstaff and very good burgers and etc. Come in with your tee and shorts and fit right in. This is a place you can take your friends and feel welcome.
